ATTENTION Forum Database Breach 03/04/2019
There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again. -
This forum is now READ ONLY! 01/20/2020
As of this post and forever into the future this forum has been put into READ ONLY MODE. There will be no new posts! A replacement is coming SoonTM . If you wish to stay up-to-date on whats going on or post your content. Please use the Discord or Sub-Reddit until the new forums are running.
Any questions or comments can be directed to Claycorp on either platform.

That would be really cool!

I like that idea, I believe that I had thought about that before as well.

Glad that you like some of the ideas. The dead leaves would change color in a similar manner as do leaf blocks. I guess they would be brown throughout the winter, spring, and summer, with orange, red, and yellow mixed in during the fall.

Hey,Dunno if this is appropriate to start thinking about at this time, but I guess I will end up spewing some ideas. I think it would be nice to see more uses for trees, here is a list of some I have thought of:- Birch bark is flammable when wet (in particular, Yellow birch - Betula alleghaniensis - perhaps birch wood could be burnt in rain?)- Oak trees could bear nuts that could be edible by the player (perhaps turned into flour)- Pines and spruces could be used to brew tea, which would hydrate and slightly restore health.- Chestnuts are edible - can be eaten or turned into flour.- Maples could produce syrup- Hickories provide edible nuts- Willows (genus salix) produce salicylic acids, which were used for pain treatmentThe forest could be altered in several ways:- Trees could have trunks of differing sizes (1/4, 1/2 3/4, 1 of a normal log)- The forest floor could be covered by dead leaves (perhaps an extension of grass, these could be created under and around trees (maybe they could also change color with the season)- All trees, except evergreens, of course, should show textures similar to those of fruit trees in winter - bare branches.- Differing soils could hold higher or lower amounts of nutrients, which could effect the types of plants present there.5 -
Ok, it is now up and running.

Hey guys,
After the long break I took from Minecraft, build 77 looked too appealing to pass up, and I am back. I figured that I would make a server so I could enjoy the mod with others. I will be hosting the server on my computer, which has an 8 core processor, 32 GB's of RAM, and access to fast internet connections. I think I woul;d like to see the server being a smaller one, with a max of around 10 people on at once. If you are interested, try: 24.181.212.141 .
Hope to see you on the server!

I had been searching for a similar thread for a while, many thanks!

It turned out that it was those files in my .minecraft that had to be removed.

Hey,
After I updated to the new hotfix on my server, I always get the message " Forge Modloader has found ID mismatches. Complete details are in the log file. ID 2062 from Mod TerraFirmaCraft is missing. You cannot connect to this server. Here is a screenshot: http://imgur.com/xDqTubn .

I would love to have your company Rope_. Just send me a message and I will mail you the IP.

I have found that, as you say, the closer you are to them, the worse it gets. If I walk directly alongside them, my FPS has dropped as low as 2, compared to my normal 110 with OptiFine.

Yes, I would agree that it deals with barrels specifically. http://terrafirmacraft.com/f/topic/3745-barrels-cause-lag/

Glad I am not the only person to have noticed this.

Yep, that is what my friend and I have found on our server. We were joking about griefing with barrel lag.

Hey, as ridiculous as this title sounds, I am serious. When playing on my server, I began realizing some serious FPS differences between my homesite and the surrounding areas with similar terrain and tree cover. So, to figure out what was causing the problem, I began removing items I had placed around my home. At first, nothing seemed to change, but then I removed the barrels, and within a period of two seconds, my FPS had gone from a steady 10 FPS to 70 FPS. To make sure that this was not just coincidence, I replaced more barrels and, sure enough, my FPS dropped drastically again.

I sent both of you guys a message with the IP in it. Look forward to meeting you.

Oh no, I am of the same viewpoint, I do not like many added mods.

I am planning on using just TFC however, if you guys want, I could add smart moving, etc.
