ATTENTION Forum Database Breach 03/04/2019
There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again. -
This forum is now READ ONLY! 01/20/2020
As of this post and forever into the future this forum has been put into READ ONLY MODE. There will be no new posts! A replacement is coming SoonTM . If you wish to stay up-to-date on whats going on or post your content. Please use the Discord or Sub-Reddit until the new forums are running.
Any questions or comments can be directed to Claycorp on either platform.

How intensive would this be clientside? When we need to load a single cube shape a million times we already get lower FPS rates than we should, what would happen if we had to load 5+ different shapes in a forest, and how would these shapes work together to form branches, ect?

What's with everyone saying this would be so difficult to code? How hard is it to code one block burning away and an other block taking its place after whatever arbitrary amount of time it takes to burn. It seems like everything today comes with the necessary "if it's even possible" line, it's underestimating the power of code.

'The Craft' sounds incredibly pretentious.
"Hey man, are you going to go to the party tonight?" "Nah, dude. I'm gonna play 'The Craft'" "Isn't that just what you call minecraft" "... yes" "HAH, nerd." then he punches you in the stomach and steals your hat.

No, it should not be removed. removing this and adding tediousness to the game is not a good idea. Having to dig for an hour because you fell into a hole on a server is busy work. Busy work in a game is a the equivalent of hornets in a daycare center.

I could have sword that hunger went down when you're not moving.I'm gonna assume you mean IRL, because in minecraft, as of yet, this is not the case.
Ask Dunk, I was just AFKing in minecraft for 3 solid RL days with a UI open, not moving much, and my hunger didn't budge. Not only has it not gone down even half a bar, but the saturation hasn't even been lost

i like the idea, mainly because it makes the world alive. if some guys wanted to be vikings and raid towns, they could without fear of being instabanned while they still do have some risk involved in attacking a town. it also gives way for jail breaks, meaning someone has to make sure that no one attacks the jail.

Wait, so all this time i could have a tree with 30 different fruits and all i've been growing is cherries. what the hell, internet, this would have been useful information two years ago.

hunger does decrease when you do nothing, it just decreases slowly. This makes sense, i can remember times when i've gone for two weeks on a back of pita chips and a bottle of lemonade because i pretty much remained stagnant the whole time. i also remember others where i would sprint around playing field airsoft for about 10 hours and be starving by the end of it. I don't think we should lose that much hunger while stagnant because we can basically run off of very little energy for a few days.

+1 i've always hated the idea of "lol, you're wearing pure steel" in regards to armor, especially how prevalent it is in games.

the javelin does more damage than the bow. I still use javelins to fight and i have a sword and bow.

Those sound more annoying than scary. most of them aren't even malicious, so you could just ignore them and keep moving.

i think it should still be used in the assembly of things like soup.If even used at all

The ocean should also be replaced by salt water, that way it sea water can't be used.

use TMI.

same should go for leather armor. The crafting table should be reduced to something that will only be used for assembly.

if he makes the change we won't really have a problem. i have enough metal to make a full set of tools from overground small metal deposits in rocks in only a few hours of play time.shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!
dont say it out loud! hell hear you >.>

that's a good idea because the lower and upper blocks don't really need to have bigger holes. If littles hole looks weird, we can have one big hole on the center left, and two half holes in the upper rigth, and upper bottom, so when two blocks and marked, the half holes looks like one

How would a 32 block deep mine with a ladder entrance be affected by acid drainage.

what if you made a stone bucket?

+1, i hate how smelting a small ore takes as long to smelt as a large ore.

This would also be great in pvp servers, you could smash an aqueduct and force an entire city into submission.

if you had the stamp mill spit out the gravel items you could have them automatically run into a sluice.

we use a bag of wind to blow through the ores.
