      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. Isn't 1.5 the most up-to-date Player API client for 1.2.5. That's the one I've used.

    DL: http://199.91.154.50...+client+1.5.zip

With any luck, hopefully that could fix your problem.

    ---

Well I had some time, so tried to install with the 1.3 API version, but I was still able to get in game.

    What's your install order?

    I don't have issues with:

    1. forge

    2. API

    3. TFC Core

    4. Resources

    1

  2. I have a similar problem but in my case I put a mold in the output slot and the metal disappeared nevertheless. I found some "small sphalerites" and melted them in different firepits and wanted to melt them into one but the mold in the input slot (the one i wanted to heat up) as well as the one in the output slot (the one I wanted the first one to pour into) just disappeared.

    ---

Not exactly sure if this was the problem, but just FYI (as gompasta mentioned earlier), the metals, when hot enough can actually evaporate. This would normally happen when you are poring molten metal into a mold repeatedly and the mold continues to heat the metal until it evaporate. Not sure if that's what happened to you, but just know that it's possible.

  3. You do realize the gestation period is 3(?) game months? then 6 months for the offspring to reach maturity

Yup and two years later nothing (SMP), even mixing and matching all the different pairs results in nothing.

  4. Did you kow that homoexuality exist in nature.

    Just saying.

Sure it's homosexuality and not just horneyness?

And besides what's been said, I have no idea. Even using pure breed genders and having the female initiate it, nothing ever comes of it anymore (after the first time, none of mine will form pairs). Think they've all just gone sterile.

  5. ---

This entire community is rather unhelpful actually, the guy is asking for help and the first thing you people tell him his gonna get ignored or banned? And you just go "how the hell is this hard?"

Quite frankly, so far all i have seen is you guys being condescending assholes.

The ignore/ban statement, was not because he was asking for help (regardless of his tone), but was because he had made multiple posts/accounts to do so.

Yes the download instructions are not completely up-to-date. 1.3 has just come out, so even those will even a little knowledge about mods, would know that mods have to updates themselves after MC has updated, which takes time.

In regards towards the lack of helpfulness, he was receiving advice in his first post. And for the condescending part, if you've been around for more then 3 days, you'd see how many asinine questions get asked on a regular basis, so sometimes it's hard to remain completely civil with people that won't even take a minute to think about their questions and look around before whining. His was not an asinine question, but his attitude was far from that of someone seeking help and asking others to take their own time to assist him with his troubles.

I know you also had similar issues as he did, and helping to point out where things might be changes to avoid further issues is not a bad thing, but stirring up trouble and name calling is not the proper way to get things addressed.

  6. Ahh crap, the wiki said I could use smooth stone for a bloomery, and I used all my metal on a pick, guess I have more hours of rock collecting ahead of me...

Ahh, for clarification: where it lists smooth stone, that was the list of materials needed to build the bloomery structure and not the block.

  7. I think the OP said he's used it, so that might be why no one's suggested it (and I don't even now what it is :), though by now I can guess)

    ...

I had used minecraft nostalgia to get a 1.2.5 version of the jar folder...

And I think we might have gotten a bit off topic, and we've yet to actually hear back from the OP to even know the status of the issue.

  8. If you meant raw stone blocks, I would normally do it while digging down, in a 3x3 stairwell and leaving the middle block.

or when I'm just collecting raw stone a simple, rather efficient way (without digging up too much) would just be to take out the bottom and top of a 3x3 area and then break apart the shelf in order to harvest the raw stone. (I've also started using smart move, which greatly assists in this method, but by no means is it rendered useless without it.)

  9. The forge can heat up anything, excluding ore, (food (yum), molds, torches, ect.)

To smelt ores, you'd need the bloomery (excluding the initial ones you can work on the firepit).

You'd not want to try and smelt all your ores on your firepit, that'd take forever. So yah, once you can, use your bloomery for all your smelting needs.

Also if you're going to be smelting copper, know that you can only make copper ingots on a stone anvil.

You'll need to make a copper anvil, to be able to work the ingots into any tools.

  10. Well, got a bit sidetracked yesterday, but I was able to test in in creative just now.

It actually seems that the bend need to take place in the 1st block above the forge (so literally how the wiki shows it)

    Posted Image

    No blockage (works obviously)

    Posted Image

    Initial bend (works)

    Posted Image

    Extended bend (works)

    Posted Image

    Delayed bend (does not work)

    Posted Image

Further open delayed bend (does not work)

BTW, I like your sig :).

  11. Yes, in one word "Ventilation"

Forges need ventilation in order to work, i.e. they need a clear path to the sky in a one block radius.

Since you're asking for help, the support forum would probably have been the more ideal place to create this topic.

Also, the search function shows nearly the exact same topic name from a post just two days old. I'd suggest you try looking there, you might already have your answer.

  12. Bioxx (I think; loosely) said that he the he imagined Steve (you the player) would be a native inhabitant of this world, and would instinctively and already possess the knowledge to do such actions. Intending that you, the player, would have some knowledge about what your doing and not just hopping in blind (though it was fun). Since it's a mod, you had to have some knowledge of the game before hand before you could even start playing. So the wiki would be the best place to start to get yourself familiarized with Steve's world, before taking over his mind and body.

Though I do see where you're coming from, and it certainly couldn't hurt (depending).

Also when you compared stone-working to blacksmithing, you still need to know the plans for the tools before you can do anything of worth, the only difference is the amount of prepping the materials and finishing the product.

  13. Sorry, but it's against the Terms of Use to do so:

    The One Major Rule

Do not distribute anything we've made. This includes, but not limited to, the client or the server software for the game. This also includes modified versions of anything we've made.

    http://www.minecraft.net/terms

    So, continuing on then:

I take it you don't have this issue with vanilla Minecraft (or sound issues with any other games)?

Do you get a crash report? http://terrafirmacra...ns-for-crashes/

Just for kicks and giggles, could you list the exact and precise instructions onto how you installed TFC?

Update the driver for your sound card (?? - though if you do that, might as well let us know what it is).

Well, that's all I got for now.

  14. The initial bend, where it actually bends, not how high the chimney is.

Because it looks like your first one goes up 4 before bending, and your latter one only goes up three before bending.

Just trying to see if that's the issue.

Though since it's day again, I might be able to try that for myself now.
