Ore???

I do not know where to post this. using build beta 2 45. I can not find ore any where. I have spawned several worlds, flown around in creative mode with a propick, and no luck. It has been many hours. At first I created a world and started building, following guides and the wiki, then come to find out after hours of looking there was no ore. No starter ore as I come to find I will need, and no other ore at all. Made a second world and did as I stated above, flew around in creative with propick.

Where do you find ore? How deep? what layer? I tried between 50y and 40y, tried surface, tried mountians, in the ocean, and still nothing. Advice please?

Look in different areas. Playing on a server with a world generated IN pre45 and i'm currently just starting the steel age

Ive spent several hours on a few worlds flying around looking for ore. I love the idea of this mod, but not being able to advance past the stone age is unplayable.

If you believe that no ores are spawning in your maps, try using the seeds in the forums. They will show if your ores are spawning or you must've messed up installing the mods. Most likely though, it's a matter of luck and patience.

Ya try one of the seeds and see if ore is spawning, if not try reinstalling and clear your "config" folder, I hear that sometimes can do that but not likely. Took me till my 3ed world before I found any ore.

Good ways to find ores is trying diffrent biomes (if the forest has nothing try the desert) and finding caves. (easy way to find caves is dig down to the magma sea and go swiming in creative mode, you should find a opening.)

flying around in creative? I was under the impression ores spawn underground. maybe try looking there?
