      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Understandably, however it simply means "A compound of chlorine with another element or group."

I think that gengeneering is ok, as long as plants stay purely plant. I don't want a grape that tastes like bacon or has pork in it.

Personally, I like the addition of antifreeze proteins from trout to oranges. It means when there's a cold snap, orange farmers don't demand I pay for their losses via bailouts, subsidies, etc. Proteins from plants and proteins from animals work the same, are the same. If I gave you a slab of ATP synthase, you couldn't tell me if it was from a fish, a donkey, a redwood, a seaweed, a plum tree, or a rat.

Well said Rgamer :) Most people fail to realize that most of our current plants/crops didn't exist (at all/in this state) for example, corn used to be the size of one's thumb, and about as palatable. some fruits have only existed for neigh 30 years. Just sayin' to the nay sayers :)

I haven't eaten meat in 8(9? I don't even know) years, and for a long time a majority of the food I've eaten is organic. I try not to be anal about it, if I'm out with friends I'll be liberal about what I eat. Usually eating greasy, processed unhealthy foods though now-a-days upsets my stomach, and kind of grosses me out, as to years ago it would have been fine. I'm definitely healthier than I would be otherwise.

It's all about personal preference, though. The whole "Shit goes in, shit comes out" thing has been said to death and I'm pretty sure everyone knows what's bad for you to some extent. There's pros and cons whether or not your diet is mostly organic or mostly processed to some extent (Although, processed food isn't inherently unhealthy of course-Just like natural isn't inherently good. I am referring to the shitty unhealthy kind).

Funny. I'm one of those people who can stand everything. Except beets, artichoke hearts, and nuts. I love the taste of meat, the delight of a marvelously greasy pizza, and the hard crunch of a rare steak. Beets and artichoke hearts have a very strong taste to them, and I'm allergic to nuts.
