      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

-Optifine_1.3.2_HD_U_B4

Its normal for stone tools to be slow, chopping down a tree with a stone axe takes just as long as it would to punch it down.

Metal tools work quicker than stone. The better the metal, the faster it'll do its job.

i use Tin and Bismuth and it has the same speed as stone, or fist in vanilla.

or is Tin and Bismuth not faster ?

EDIT: OK Player API is working ... was my foult. but i still have the problem that the Tools are very slow.

i still have the problem that the Tools are very slow.

All the starting tools are really slow in terrafirma, compared to vanilla, speed will increase as you climb the tiers in metallurgy. If you think you might have a bug, please check out some lets play videos of people on the current build and compare your speed with the same tools as you.

i looked for some lets plays at the current build, but i don't find one. all i found are from an older build recorded a month ago. but what i can say the tools they are use are faster than my.

And you must see the red steel tools, I thought they were faster...

i have tried the red steel tools (i give me some with NEI) but they all are very slow. only the shovel ist fast with dirt , sand , gravel, clay etc. but the pickaxe and the axe are all slow no matter what they made with.

EDIT: ok atm i create a small video to show my problem. maybe it's just me. i play TFC the first time so i don't know if this is normal or a bug.

EDIT2: ok now after watching this video i think it's probably just me ... the Pickaxe speed is fine but the axe speed is slow.

can someone pls check this video and confirm the tool speed ??

-snip-

Those speeds seem accurate, atleast from my experience of TFC so far. One of the reasons for having slower axes is because, unlike vanilla, you get the whole tree at once. With picks it's more to make tiering up more worthwhile than if all of the low-tier ones weren't so much slower then the high tier ones.

Just an FYI, there is no difference between blue and red steel tools/armours.
