Trouble installing mods

Hello!

I'm having trouble getting mods to work. I'm using the latest TFC launcher. I've installed modloader and rei's minimap, leather waterskin and medical mod, all of the latest update. However, when I launch my game it says only 4 mods are installed & active, and none of the mods show ingame. I've installed the mods by placing the zips in the mods folder I created myself, in the .minecraft folder. What could be wrong?

if you use the launcher, I don't think you should need modloader, as TFC use forge. and medical mod is only for build 75, not updated for 1.5.1 yet. And I don't know what it the right procedure to add mod with the launcher, so I can not say if you did the right thing.

when you use the tfc launcher it creates a folder named TFCraft with a minecraft folder inside it.

Thing is, it recognizes Rei Minimap but it doesn't recognize Optifine. I've been trying to get my old set of mods(rei, optifine, smartmoving and probably some more in the future) together but I still couldn't with this launcher now.

doesn't optifine have to be forcefully put into the minecraft.jar its self? where rei's can be done ether in mods or forcefully?

You'd think so, but when installed forcefully it makes TFC crash when launching.

on the 3 different windows computers i put the launcher in the "c:/users/*username*/%appdata%/roaming/tfclauncher" i created it

when used the launcher it created a TFcraft folder under %appdata%/roaming

As far as I know, the launcher probably won't work with Optifine. I'll look into having some support for this some time in the future.
