      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Day Length Troubles

4 posts in this topic

I'm atempting to start a server with an altered day length. To do this, the first thing I did was create a world from scratch to populate the server folder with relevent files, then delete the world file. I edited "TFCOptions.cfg" to have a day length of 1200 (for science). When I started the server up again, it created a new world folder, and I logged in. The sun moved across the sky at the regular pace but my hunger and thirst bars, and the calendar were moving crazy fast. I logged out, changed the day length to 5000 (thinking maybe 1200 was to low for the mod to handle, and deleted/recreated the world. I logged back in and the sun was moving crazy fast through the sky. Perfect, it works. I logged out, changed the time back to 24000, deleted/recreated, logged back in... and things were still moving a the previous rate.

This is where my problem lies. I've deleted both the world files and the .cfg files, creating everything from scratch again, but no matter what I do, any new server I create on this computer has a very fast (under a minute) day night cycle. I'm not sure what happened.

I'm going to try that when versions of all the mods line up again. That has to work... right?

As an aside, I would still like to have longer days on my server, probably 72000. Has anyone had luck editing the day length, and what are your secrets?
