No Clay At ALL Anywhere?

I started a new game and I have looked all over and I can't find clay ANYWHERE. None near any water, none anywhere at all that I could find. I walked around the map for a few days then flew around in creative mode and went several days worth of distance around and found not a single piece of clay. Any help?

Are you looking for vanilla style clay? You won't find any. TFC clay is mixed in with dirt, and will often be camouflaged by grass. Look around for some goldenrod, and start digging there.

I am looking for the clay pictured on the TFC wiki. I looked it up there first before asking anyone.

If you aren't finding any clay, then that's really strange. Could you post a world seed?

Where are you located? If you are close to the equator z = 0 to z = ~ 8000 clay might not spawn.

I made a new world, wandered for days, found no clay.Made another new world, wandered for days and days and days....I FINALLY found some. It took me days and days of walking in game to find some. Found it in a lakebed. First time I've found any at all and I've checked so many kinds of places. I dunno. Maybe I was just really unlucky with my first two seeds.

Clay spawns much more frequently now than before. Look for the Goldenrod flowers as stated above. They are different from the normal vanilla yellow flower. The Goldenrod only spawn on clay and you should see them all over the place. Clay is not always near water and is quite often totally covered by grass which is why the addition of Goldenrod as an indicator. If you are only looking for the clay texture to show itself on the surface, you will be looking for a long time.
