      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

My Singleplayer Map Erased / Can't Cycle Tool Mode

Title: Singleplayer Map Erased

Description:

 

I made a singleplayer map and played on it. When I finished I closed and shut my computer down. When I come back it is erased. I went to .minecraft/saves and saw the map there. When I came back it didn't show up. That happened two times to me now.

 

Title: Can't Cycle Tool Mode

Suggested Category: Annoying

 

Description:

 

I keep chiseling. However, I press "G" (changed it because I use REI's Minimap and you know that "M" can't be my default). However, I press it and won't keep cycling. My chisel is stuck in the mode "Stair". Same with my hoe.

The tool mode cycling has to do with sync issues between the server and the client. This happens even in single player as Minecraft creates an internal server. Only real way to "fix" it is to log out of the world and then log back in.

 

As for the deleted saves, I might suggest pointing the game directory of TFC to something other than the default .minecraft folder. You can do this by clicking Edit Profile on the vanilla launcher. I can't think of any reason as to why the save files would disappear.
