      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Are you in an area that has a lot of detailed chiseled blocks or planks?

just for clarification, my macbook pro runs this plus two other mods without the crash but with alot of lag, my PC runs with no lag but this crash happens at random intervals. if fixing this is too much troble than I could just play on the mac, but I'd prefer the other computer if an easy fix is available.

I might suggest allocating more ram to your profile. TFC is a bit more resource heavy than standard vanilla Minecraft. Even just changing -Xmx1G to -Xms1G should make a difference. You also shouldn't need more than -Xmx3G, but if you are only running on a 32bit operating system, 1G is as high as you can set it.

how exactly do i change the amount of allocated ram?

Select Edit Profile on the vanilla launcher, there should be a checkbox near the bottom that says "Use JVM arguments" the box next to it should also already contain "-Xmx1G" which you should change to "-Xms1G" which will switch the 1G from being your maximum memory, to being the minimum.

Is the crash report the same? Or are you getting a different error? Do you have anything other than TFC and Forge installed, like optifine for example?

Where you have the profile installed should have a folder called crash-reports, see if there are any files in there that have timestamps on them that are the same as when the game was closing. Those will be your error reports. You can copy the text from the latest one onto pastebin.com and upload it, and then give us the link for quick and easy access.

the latest file in there was the one that I posted before, none after that.

Alright, edit your profile again and check the box that says "Launcher Visibility" and select "Keep the launcher open" from the drop down list. Then on the main launcher screen, select the development console tab up at the top before hitting "Play" It will show the crash report there.

Are you getting the game to even launch now? or does it just close randomly while you are playing? If it isn't launching, and you see anything about "Java Virtual Machine" or JVM error, let me know.

it launches, it plays for a while then it closes, no error message again this time

Does it close the launcher too? If you changed that setting your launcher should stay open the entire time with text coming across that development console tab. As soon as the game closes, copy all of the text from the development console tab and paste it on pastebin.com and give me the link.

Near the bottom of the crash report:

[08:28:54 INFO]: Client> # An error report file with more information is saved as:[08:28:54 INFO]: Client> # C:UsersGrahamAppDataRoaming.minecrafths_err_pid3784.log

That log file will let you know what's happening, but it appears that java is crashing, and not minecraft itself, which is why everything is just closing instead of giving you crash reports.

I followed the path and there was nothing in the "Roaming" folder, also I had to take a different path to get to some of the folders, I also searched the computer for the hs_err_pid3784.log and couldn't find it anywhere, maybe the path is somehow the problem.

Do you have administrative rights on this computer? That Roaming folder should contain your .minecraft folder, including all of your saves and where you put your mods and stuff unless you created a new directory for it.

there is no AppData folder in (Graham) I think the directory is messed up.

Ever user profile on Windows has an AppData folder, it is just hidden if it isn't an administrative account. Do a search for %appdata% and it should bring it right up. Otherwise I suggest googling "Showing Hidden Folders" or something similar.
