      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

There definitely should be an autostack option, combining stacks by hand is way too busy.

Vanilla item stacking is very embedded within the vanilla code. It isn't as simple as overwriting a single method. You are welcome to attempt to code it yourself and submit a PR if you figure it out, but the devs aren't going to attempt it themselves.

It should also be noted that all but one piece of meat that an animal drops will already be full size, and that if you have a whole bunch of smaller items you want to combine, you can do more than two at a time in the crafting grid.

Hmmm... well, I didn't really like the crafting table I was designing anyway.

ya you can go to his archive :D

How do I get there? I can't find the Twitter I'm supposed to navigate to it from.

At first I thought it was the one that the admin Kittenchanley posted, but I couldn't find the B78 preview in there either.

So, I love the food decay, and I love the idea of nutrition, but I'm not too sure about debuffs for poor nutrition.  Because debuffs are irritating.  What do ya'll think about making it so that food simply fills less hunger if it's category (protein, etc) is higher than average?

That would kind of defeat the purpose, which I assume is to make variety in your diet important. If they just filled less hunger, the solution would just be to increase production slightly of whatever food source you're using.

If it helps, don't think of it as debuffs for bad nutrition, think of it as buffs for good nutrition.

If it would work if it was on a scale, so that the higher above average the current category is, the less it hunger it filled, until it filled nothing at all.

Edit: I'm an idiot. I just found out what the actual debuff was, and I think it's brilliant.

Kinda off topic but when is build 78 coming out?

Since we got a build 78 pre-release steam, I guess sometime soon, but I just got curious

Unfortunately, until they release it, the only answer you'll ever get is, "As soon as it's done."

Instead of a "auto stacking" I guess it would be easier to make a new type of storage for food. The food is stocked in amount (oz), not in item number. When you take a food item out of the storage, it's max size with the same % of spoilage as the content of the barrel. It would require manual job to but the spoiled piece, but you do not neet to combine the good food, only have to trow it in the storage unit.

I guess it would be possible. I guess that the devs can find a trick if they want to.

Have you seen the new mechanics yet Alice? It is out of OZ instead of a stack with numbers now.
