Unable to Access Minecraft

After successfully installing the newest build (0.78.3),  I played for about 20-30 minutes, but then my game crashed.  Ever since my game crashed, I have been unable to access Minecraft as a whole and I cannot access a different account.  I also cannot play using anything that uses Minecraft either (such as Feed The Beast, Techic, and Magic Launcher).  I really need help to figure out what I can do to allow Minecraft to run again.

TFC should have done nothing to affect your Minecraft account in such a way that you cannot use other launchers. Have you checked to make sure your password and username are correct? If you ported your account from a standard Minecraft one to a Mojang one, you'll need to log in with your email address instead of your username.

 

If even the vanilla launcher for regular Minecraft won't launch, I suggest you delete your .minecraft folder and reinstall the game.

 

Could you please also post the crash report that would have been generated when your game crashed. It will be located in a folder called crash-reports, in your .minecraft folder.

Not to long after I posted this I went to bed.  Sometime between then and now, my brother deleted the .minecraft folder including the crash report for this post.  Also, I cannot even use the minecraft launcher for regular minecraft.  I have tried many different remedies to try to correct the crashes, including deleting and reinstalling Minecraft as well as Java itself.  If anyone knows any solutions that may work, please post them.

What exactly is happening when you try to use the minecraft launcher for regular minecraft? Are you using a legal (paid for) copy?

I am using a legal copy of minecraft.  I click on the icon for minecraft to load, and it tries to load but it quickly shuts down.  I have to click on it many times to be able to read what it says.  I get to the part where it tries to unpack it and I get this message

Edit: Other posts suggest running the Minecraft launcher as administrator to possibly fix it that way.

I downloaded the program, but unfortunately it did not work.  I also tried to run as an admin, and it did not work.  The only things that show up in my .minecraft folder are the files

 

launcher.jar

launcher.pack

launcher.pack.lzma

 

 

as well as sometimes the file

 

launcher.pack.lzma.new

Are you using the newest version of the minecraft launcher? Try re-deleting your entire .minecraft folder, and then go get the newest copy of the launcher off of minecraft.net and run that as administrator.

I have deleted my .minecraft folder and downloaded the newest launcher off minecraft.net, but running it as an administrator did not allow it to run either

The only other thing I can think of would be related to your firewall.

 

Something else to note is that there are players reporting this exact issue all over the vanilla minecraft forums, so it isn't a TFC related issue.

Ok.  Thank you very much for the help, and thank you for the information about this being all over the minecraft forums.  I at least know that its a Minecraft issue, which means that it hopefully will be fixed soon.  I really do appreciate the help that you offered me, and once again, thank you very much.
