      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Limonite is iron, galena is lead, tetra is copper, native gold is gold, sphalerite is zinc and bismuthinite is bismuth.

You need a total of 100 metal units to make a single ingot to make a bronze tool. Each piece of small ore/nugget is 10 units, so you will need a total of 10 pieces.

From the alloys page of the wiki: http://terrafirmacraft.com/wiki/Alloy

Bronze requires Copper & Tin

Black Bronze requires Copper, Silver & Gold

Bismuth Bronze requires Zinc, Bismuth & Copper.

From your list, you have Zinc, Bismuth & Copper to make Bismuth Bronze, but we have to check to see if you have enough pieces.

Once again, from the same alloy page on the wiki we see that Bismuth Bronze is composed of 20-30% Zinc (So 2 or 3 pieces), 50-70% Copper (So 5, 6, or 7 pieces) and 10-20% Bismuth (So 1 or 2 pieces). Any combination that you use must add up to a total of 10 pieces, and match those requirements. Here are some examples that work:

  • 2 Zinc, 6 Copper, 2 Bismuth
  • 2 Zinc, 7 Copper, 1 Bismuth
  • 3 Zinc, 5 Copper, 2 Bismuth
  • 3 Zinc, 6 Copper, 1 Bismuth

You only have 1 Tetrahedrite (Copper), 1 Sphalerite (Zinc) and 4 Bismithunite (Bismuth), so no, you do not have the materials to make a bronze tool yet.

Well answered, Kitty!

Good explanation, clear and precise, and telling the person where to get the information too :)

Your best bet is to do some panning on a river or any water body with gravel. You'll get all the ores for black bronze. It's very time consuming though.

And after you've made the first tools, go do some exploring to find potential ore veins of copper (either native or tetrahedrite), cassiterite, sphalerite and bismuthinite. Mark the places where you find ores with cobblestone or with a waypoint if you have a minimap mod
