      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Pottery Firing

Hello all, I downloaded the updated mod and was playing when I tried to fire some pottery. Placed the four items in a hole, put on the 8 pieces of straw, and then tried to place the wood. It placed a wood block, chopped it with my axe. Shifted right clicked and it started making a wood pile ABOVE the block and not on the straw. Even made sure my cursour was in the middle of the straw and not pointing to the edges.

 

Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Don't shift click when you're placing the logs.

 

Edit: If it's placing an actual log when you try to regular right click to place it, then you don't have enough straw in the pile. It's possible that you miscounted and there isn't actually 8 in there. Try adding more.

That's really odd. Do you have any other mods installed? Have you tried with any other types of logs than maple?

According your reddit post, you're playing using the Technic Launcher. Are you sure that you have the latest version of TFC (78.12)? Prior to build 78, the pit kiln was two blocks high. See if you can add more pieces of straw to the pile. If you can make the entire block out of straw, then you are playing an outdated version.

Tried with other logs; maple, birch, oak.

 

 

GRR, thought it was the latest one but when I went diving into my files it comes up as 77.22. Sorry.
