      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Metal hoe broken?

3 posts in this topic

Tried using my newly crafted metal hoe last night in harvest mode to check on my crops. There were some crops, one being cabbage, that was obviously ready for harvest, but the harvest mode remained red when it should have turned green. I was wondering if it is possibly bugged? I've used it in past build with no trouble. I've not tested the other mode yet for nutrient content. I will try to do that later this evening and report back. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks!

Perhaps your cabbage wasn't totally finished growing. Many crops have an almost-mature state which can be harvested for a reduced yield, and I believe that includes cabbage. The hoe only shows green for fully-mature crops. Take a look at http://wiki.terrafirmacraft.com/Cabbage. Did your cabbage look like the last one, or the second-to-last one?

Quite possible. I still have crops that appear to be near their final stages. I know when I picked the cabbage I did get seeds along with the cabbage. Now that I think about it I also gathered some wheat too, which also gave me wheat and seeds. I will further test and verify later this evening. The person I play with is more of a TFC expert than I am and thought that certain items appeared to be ready. My concern is losing the crop that is why I was/am eager to harvest what is ready. If memory serves me correctly it's mid October for us in game and I thought I read somewhere that cold can destroy crops. Another concern I had was whether or not I should plant again during this "time" or wait til the spring months? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
