      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

[Solved] Temp/climate/season issues

Hey all.

 

So I am running a small TFC server. After a couple of days of getting tired of my crops dying while I was offline (due to a game year being 32 hours) I extended the game year to 360 game days or roughly 5 real days.

 

Today I've noticed odd stuff when I logged in. The temp 15 degrees. The calendar says early summer yet all the water around me is freezing over each night and not thawing much during the day. The coldest it is getting is about 7 degrees which I don't think should be cold enough for ice.

 

Could this be caused by my changing the game year length? Does that option work right? Does it only work on a new map? Or is there something else wrong.

You need to make sure that the config option is the same on both the server and the client.
