      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

4 posts in this topic

Version #: 78-17

SSP/SMP (Single/MultiPlayer): Multiplayer

Suggested Name: Iron sheet dup

Suggested Category: Severe/Minor

Description:I was doing mass iron sheet work (welding ingots and hammering them out to sheets) when as i was shift clicking the sheets started to act weird and as i finished i went to my blast fur to place them and the item was placing but not leaving my invo so try to mine them to see if they were real or client side and they acted real i got them but so i waited for a sever reboot and came back still dupping when placed (just that one sheet) so i went to throw the item to a player show he can confirm and then the item poofed

I had this too, but with vanilla TFC on singleplayer. It only happened when I placed heated sheets, cold sheets placed just fine. After reloading the world the sheets were still there and could be picked up. Maybe as a fix make it that you can't place heated sheets? Also, heated sheets don't cool down when placed.

After heating sheets and placing on the side of grass blocks, I am unable to reproduce this bug.  I will preform more experiments.

EDIT:

After setting up the beginnings of a blast furnace I am still unable to reproduce this bug.  Try cut/pasting your config file somewhere that forge can't find it and trying it again on creative.

Bioxx is thinking it might be possible that this is happening whenever an anvil has overworked an item in the past. Please post if you are still getting this bug, and you can confirm that you have lost items on the anvil by overworking them.
