      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

How compatible is TFC with other mods?

Hello, name's Alan; and I'm plotting to start a dedicated TFC server for about 4-5 months with some friends, and I'm hoping to make it as immersive as possible using mods like Footpaths. I would also like to add things like Clay Soldiers for a touch of quirkyness and I'm assuming Clay Soldiers for exmaple might give me an issue since it's 1.6.2 and not 1.6.4. I know clientside mods like Optifine, shaders, Rei's Minimap and Dynamic Lights shouldn't give me any problems.

 

I can't think of any other mods I could add to improve realism other than Footpaths, some feedback on that woud be apreciative but I'd like to try to avoid aything too game-changing from terrafirma's ground rules.

 

This is pretty much my first time setting up a dedicated server so any tips regarding that aswell woud be highly apreciated.

You'll have to see if that footpaths mod is configurable so that you can determine which blocks get worn down, and what they get worn down into. As it currently is, it looks like that mod turns vanilla grass into vanilla dirt, and eventually into vanilla stone. None of those 3 blocks are actually generated in TFC worlds. You'll have to configure it so that TFC grass turns into TFC dirt and eventually into TFC stone.
