      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

[Solved] Corn whiskey wont turn into vinegar, support beams and sandwiches bugged.

4 posts in this topic

So I set out to make some corn whiskey since I hadn't made any rum in the previous version of the mod and wanted to turn it into vinegar to make cheese now that I have a small pen of cows. The stuff had been sealed for a TFC month and when I opened it, it was still booze. which, granted, would be ok if I had sour mix.

Support beams don't seem to work as intended or I misundertood the changelog. I put up 2 beams, 3 blocks high with one block between them and cave-ins happen, even breaking the support beams. I've managed to solve this, but at a price. building a cube of 18 support beams seems to have worked. This seems a little steep but I'll take what i can get.

Sandwiches don't add to your well being. I've been making beef sandwiches with tomato, onion and cabbage. They only add to my grain and not protein or vegetable or fruit.

Running version 79.6 with NEI, TFCplugin, fastcraft and mapwriter. no cauldron or optifine.

I think it might also be worth mentioning that there are absolutely no tannin bearing trees in my home chunk, or anywhere else it seems. it's all spruce as far as the eye can see. I tried to cross a deep ocean but never made it to the opposite end. I headed north in search of oak, maple or any other tree really.

Barrels that have been sealed with a proper recipe inside will tell you the output. If you're not seeing "Vinegar", you've probably got your ratios wrong. Check the changelog for the details.

Support beams have a rather small "range" of functionality, centered on the horizontal beam. Maybe you're overestimating that range, particularly in the vertical direction.

Kitty said in another thread vinegar requires fruit to be sealed with the alcohol, but somehow that missed documentation. Also, I too have found that no sandwiches I make do anything for my nutrient bars. If i eat the ingredients they work but an assembled sandwich i dont.

Just noticed the sandwich bug myself.

Made my first sandwich, 4 diff ingredients, 1 protein, 3 veg.

Final sandwich had Salty and Savoury.

However I've eaten the whole thing and the health bars have not budged a bit, I have 2 pixels of Protein and zero everything else.

The protein came from Cooked Pork which is Savoury and puts it up a tiny bit, not enough to have a HP effect though.

Hm this morning I ate the 2nd sandwich I made (same ingredients) and it raised my Protein bar by 2 pixels.

Can those health bars go below 0 I wonder?
