      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Version #: 79.6SSP/SMP (Single/MultiPlayer): SingleplayerSuggested Name: No beams for me.Suggested Category: Annoyingly inconvenientDescription: the crafting recipe in the wiki for horizontal support beams is not working, no matter how I play around with it in the crafting grid.The changelog did not mention a change in recipe, and I tried to use the typical beams on the side of the top of the vertical supports, and nothing happened.Have you deleted your config files and are still able to reproduce this bug?: Yes.

Do you have any mods other than Forge and TFC installed?: Fastcraft.

Please make sure you are reading the changelog before posting reports:

 

79.0: Condensed support beams into a single item and totally rewrote how they are placed in the world. Horizontal beams can only be placed between two vertical beams and can not be placed individually anymore. If any horizontal block breaks, the entire beam will break causing the ceiling to lose support. The changes to rock were made to encourage the use of these blocks more.

So the beams connect between two in line with each other? By the way.

I did read the change log, the description however is a bit vague. Little unfair to assume I didn't read it, isn't it?

Condensed into a single item means that there is only one. Which means that there are not two, so there are not two different recipes. It also explicitly says "can only be placed between two vertical beams."

 

All of your support beams should be arches. Two vertical poles, with up to 5 horizontals between them.
