      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Odd bug???

Hello Terracrafters.

 

I found a odd kind of bug (I think) I made a new pickaxe (copper) which I placed on a tool rack the odd thing is tho, I logged off then logged back in 20 minutes later to find the tool was gone. This also happened to 2 ceramic vessels that I placed down on smooth chalk with another vessel (3 in total). When I logged back in, only 1/3 vessels were there and the pick was gone from the tool rack along with my copper knife, copper and stone hoes. I relogged while in online mode and offline mode twice, made sure my forge was the correct one to use with the latest build and even went from faithful 32x resource to normal, nothing changed, it is as if my seed went back in time to the last login but the pit kilns are empty.

 

I did read the bug list, couldn't see anything that matches this. It is a odd bug because the game never crashed but removed the most recently made items.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The most likely cause is that there was some sort of desync, or you accidentally clicked something and the item popped off the tool rack, or wasn't actually placed, and then it despawned.

 

Unfortunately the majority of these kinds of bug reports aren't actually bugs, but user error. Unless you can provide consistent steps to reproduce what happened, there's nothing we can do.
