      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Higher Tiered Light-giving Objects

Because burnt out torches are for the uncultured.

 

There are several TFC addons that come close to what I would like to see. Outside of suggesting bees, beeswax, and candles, I would like to at least ask (very nicely) for a more expensive light source, which may possibly be a little brighter, may possibly burn out less quickly, or may simply never burn out. Or, perhaps, one that's fueled, like real lanterns are. I don't mind spending quite a bit more on lighting than a stick as long as I can get something that burns out at least a little less often.

 

In fact, now that I think about it, a lamp fueled by, say, alcohol sounds like a great addition, especially if it could be toggled on and off to save on "oil".
