      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

A probably newbie question - vinegar preservation in large vessels.

3 posts in this topic

So I have a question that is probably just a result me not understanding something.

I can preserve my pickled food in vinegar in barrels just fine, but when I transfer the same food and vinegar to a large ceramic vessel, I just get "Output: N/A" when I seal the vessel.

I've tried smaller amounts of food and a lower food/vinegar ratio with no success, so I was wondering if there is a trick to doing this.  I'm aware I cannot /make/ vinegar in the vessel, but I've read about and seen screenshots of other folks cold cellars where they use vinegar preservation in large vessels.

I'm on TFC version 79.15, Forge version 10.13, only other mods are FastCraft 1.13 and MapWriter 2.1.2

Large Vessel's output message wasn't using the same system as barrels. Originally you wouldn't be able to move vinegar to a large vessel, so we didn't bother adding vinegar-related messages to the large vessel's interface. This has been fixed for .16

Ah, so it's working, just doesn't have the message.

Thanks
