      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

season cycle and admin commands (seasons skipping?)

I play on a private server hosted by a friend.  He isnt a patient person, and has reset the days to avoid night, etc..... I know that at one point leaves were turning, and we were getting a message that it was too cold to plant XXXX.  Well, I noticed the other day when I got on, that I was no longer getting that message, and all the elaves were green again...

 

Is this because of a command he is issuing, server reboots, or what?

 

Any insight would be welcome. I enjoy the difficulty (mostly) of the game.. he is not a fan however. So hoping to figure out the root of this, without compromising his gameplay.

What season is it? Open your inventory and there are some tabs on the right side of your inventory, one of them has an hour glass, it will tell you the season, month, time of day. As the months change so do the seasons. It could just naturally be spring again, or maybe he used a command, if he did any food you had that wasn't preserved may have gone bad, and animal relationships may have gone down since the commands just fast forward time.

What commands was he using exactly? TFC is extremely sensitive to the internal clock, and some of the commands will actually move time backwards instead of forwards. There are also so many days in each season (as shown in the calendar tab). If he skipped the night of all the days for fall and winter, then it would be spring that much faster. The other possibility is that he managed to reset the calendar back to the beginning of the year by using the wrong command. If he did that, none of your crops are going to grow for a long time, and your animals are all going to be very screwed up for a long time as well.
