      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

All bug reports should have an answer of "Yes" to this question. Do you have any mods other than Forge and TFC installed? (Yes/No): Don't have installed If you answered no to the above question, uninstall Optifine/Cauldron and try to reproduce the bug.Both Optifine and Cauldron edit the base classes of forge that TFC uses. That crash report shows absolutely nothing to do with TFC, other than the fact that you have it installed. It also shows that you are still using the extremely outdated Java 6, which is probably the cause for your problem.

 

Make sure you have the latest version of java installed, and then edit the profile on the vanilla launcher to tell it to run the new version of java, and not java 6. There are plenty of guides out there already on how to do this.

 

Edit: It appears you missed the following statement when filling out the template:

Just to prove my point, you are not using the "newest" version of TFC. The crash report shows you are using 0.79.17. The "newest" version is 0.79.18.
