      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Caveins are not deadly enough.

5 posts in this topic

Hello, my name is Miklosh and I'm still digging 1x2 tonnels. I'm not proud of it. I just never DIED because of a cavein, though when you are in a cave IRL cavein means immediate death. I have no stimulus to make a proper mineshaft and use support beams, you know.

So, mr. Bioxx, what I suggest. When two or more blocks fall onto you and you are INSIDE of them, make it as hard to destroy a block from the inside like as if you were underwater or probably harder. Then most of the players will be dead in such situation, how about that?

Interesting... I for one like this idea...

Yeah, this is a wonderfull idea!

I'm not sure if you don't know how to edit, or you simply wanted to double-post for getting posts... ._.

Anyways, i partially support the idea. Why? simply because, when there is a cave-in, what falls aren't really stone blocks, but COBBLESTONE blocks. Why this is important? because the cobblestone is basically a pile of little rocks in a cubic form. Then, pushing a stone out of the pile when inside it isn't realy that difficult. BUT, is you are sorrounded of this piles, the it would be difficult.

What i'm saying is: instead of having the cobblestone being indestructible when inside it, make it harder or easier to break depending of the cobblestone blocks it has above or aside it. If you haveyour legs trapped in a single cobblestone block, you cna break it quite easily; however, being trapped by a giant pile of cobblestone is... well, you're screwed.

minecraft mechanics push you out of the way of falling blocks, so if you have a safe zone within a block of you you're going to live. also, if the cave in doesn't happen right above you you can usually run away from it until you reach a safe area or place a block over your head.
