I'm sorry everyone, I haven't maintained this server well at all recently, I think it'd be best if I closed it down, if anyone knows a good free storage site or wants the map sent to them I can zip it up.

I have to update the server anyway, we've moved to a new ip, in the first post, and I don't know if I can manage it from this laptop, the network is sort of flaky.

I don't know if anybody's been on lately, but my home computer has finally given up, managing to borrow a laptop temporarily.

Host will be doing a migration some time soon, we'll likely be getting a new IP. I'll have a specific date when they can tell me.

I haven't been able to get on myself in ages, it's definitely seen a huge drop in players since I was last really on.

Alright, we're updated, sorry for the absence y'all, I've been fooling around on custom mod packs with friends between dealing with home maintenance emergencies.

I get email updates from this thread when the server's cooperating, if there's any place to tell me it's down it'd be here, though if I'm working the server will likely have reset itself before I can do it.

@tenterro: Which is wonderful, but you can't get there without cheating in vanilla fire starters of some kind. As far as towns clearing, if you haven't logged in in 15 days it's cleared, I don't do it, it's automatic. And I'm updating to 15 today.

Yeah, it looks like you aren't supposed to go there, TFC flint and steel won't light a portal so I imagine it working now might not last forever. Also, I spawned above the bedrock in the nether and there were still tfc rocks spawning. That was kind of neat.

____________________ (quote system is unreadable here) I'll offer my input here, More Uses for Cloth: There was a mod a ways back that allowed you to make leather and cloth as a sort of tent, you could apply them in the world and they would lay down like cloth actually would. Don't recall the name, it's likely horrible out of date now. But it looked brilliant. Hydro/Wind Power: I like the better than wolves implementations of such, redpower and other tech mods kind of make me feel sad in comparison. I don't think we should try to focus on the blocks, we should try to make the blocks feel as unimportant as possible Water Screw: As an overhaul, sounds brilliant, I like big industrial projects though, something massive and imposing and useful. Gates/Drawbridges: I would love more physical mechanical constructions in general, redstone I don't care about but something moving in the real world is so much more satisfying(and easy to diagnose) than magic dust. Fertilizer:Definitely, especially with the nutrient system we have, it makes a lot of sense and I'd think it would berelativelyeasy to implement for TFC. As I just said, I only intend to reset if there is a game progression changing update, which there hasn't been since build 77, and probably won't for a while.

I think I've had 1 rollback before this, but I usually reset the world if there's any big progression changing updates, like switching to the new crucible/kiln system

OK, backup properly up, I believe, hop on and tell me if there are any holes.

I'm having to restore from my local backup because the one on the server wasn't going through properly. I like the idea of a central meeting place, still trying to get the backup up before anything else.

I think you've got it, the server ran the automatic restart when I was updating and only some of the items followed through.

OK, we'll attempt using the backup, town stuff will all be the same, everything else rewinding.
