      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

tree planting

i know the wiki is still updating but i haven't found anywhere with new material for tree farming. Currently, I have the trees 1 or 2 blocks apart from each other in a straight line. Over months of game time for the correct time needed for the specific tree to grow, only the far ends of the line are grown and everything in between never grows. What am I missing?

There was an unintended change in 79 that means that saplings now need the full space in order to grow. If there is anything, leaves, logs, etc, in the way of where a full size tree would normally grow, the sapling will not grow. However, because this change finally got rid of the horribly OP douglas fir wall-o-wood, it has been deemed "intentional" and will not be changed back.
