      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

    Why this server?: Mature community with no additional mods that significantly alter a TFC style of play.

    2 sentence description of yourself/interests: I like settling into playing specific roles with significant mods like this, on one server in the past I settled into mostly mass-producing charcoal for trade. I also like to ask a lot of questions, and since quite a lot in TFC has changed since I last played, I'll probably be asking a lot of questions regarding to mid to top tier metals, as I haven't progressed past the bronze age in single player.

     

    I've got a couple of questions: How often are world wipes/restarts? Is it ok for me to use Rei's Minimap and CraftGuide on this server?

    Im using Player API 1.1 but theres another problem, I cant find Player API 1.2

    Anyone got the download link to Player IP 1.2?

    There is no Player API 1.2 for Minecraft 1.4.6 at the moment. The latest version for Minecraft 1.4.6 is Player API 1.1

    PS: My computer bluescreened twice right before I was about to click on "Post New Topic." :angry:

    You might want to consider checking your RAM. I'm a computer technician and I've seen quite a few computers that have randomly bluescreened when the user was doing something. In most cases, the fault was caused by faulty RAM. Easiest way to check is to download and burn to CD the program available here: http://www.memtest.org/

    Although it could just be Windows being Windows... ;)

    The wiki is inaccurate with the welding points of tier 0 metals. Despite showing the temp range to be very hot **, its actually a smaller range within that temp. They can be welded, but getting the temp 'just right' is next to impossible for tier 0 metals. It must be an ingot. Unshaped metal cannot be welded.

    Are you placing both ingots in the weld spot, and do you have flux in the right-hand corner in the anvil gui?

    Yes. The green shows you the temperature range the metal has to be in so it can be welded: http://terrafirmacraft.com/wiki/Metals

    I've found the tier 0 metals to be a huge pain to weld together. I don't even bother trying to weld them anymore.

    -Is it a bug that the Zinc axe chopping time is identical to the stone one?

    While I understand that this is a bug, its the only way to obtain dirt that is capable of having pumpkin seeds planted on it. If/When Bioxx goes ahead and fixes this, I'd like to see pumpkin seeds changed so that they can be planted on TFC tilled soil.

    I haven't gone too far in 64 yet, but in 52e redstone power worked fine. Redstone is in the mod in the form of Cinnabar, and placing it in your crafting grid gives 8 redstone per 1 cinnarbar ore. (Lapis Lazuli can be crafted into vanilla lapis in the same way). I haven't seen anything in the changelog about Cinnabar being removed, or no longer providing redstone, so I'd say this is a bug with the new doors.

    I had issues with Rei's Minimap as well. I did two things to get it to work:

    1) Updated to forge 355 (link: files.minecraftforge.net/minecraftforge-universal-6.0.1.355.zip)

    2) Instead of installing it directly into minecraft.jar, I put it in the mods folder along with TFC.

    As far as Forge is concerned, there are 2 missing textures.

    Below are the two it claims are missing.

    /bioxx/terrabedsSprites.png

    /bioxx/calendargui.png

    After having a look in the .zip file, calendargui.png is present, but named CalendarGui.png. Renaming it so the name is lowercase fixes that problem. But terrabedsSprites.png does not exist at all.

    There does not seem to be any adverse affect on the game, as the calendar still shows up correctly.

    After extracting the new music from the .zip file for Build60, I found that two of them have random names.

    These names are shown by both Winamp and VLC.

    Listed below are the filenames, and the title's they have:

    the one post I saw seemed to claim it was happening to some mobs regardless of passive/hostile. In my case its ALL passive mobs, and seemingly none of the hostile ones.

    I am rather frustrated. I download 'build 60' and install it. When I look in my mods section in game, it says I am playing build 59. WHY?!?!

    Bioxx has forgotten to update that info in a few builds I've played in the past. As long as the filename shows build 60, there's nothing to worry about. You are playing the latest version.
