Shaped charges would be EXTREMELY interesting, but can the be coded? Kitty said something about explosions being hard coded. Could you get around that to do shaped or is that impossible? Regardless, smaller explosives are super easy to implement, I see no reason not to in the future

I've had a time where I hit a cow and it ran right to me and started going in circles)3. Run to an adult(if it's a baby. although why you would hit the baby, I don't know)Also, I'm thinking a 'hunger' would be a great addition.If a animal like cow/sheep/etc are hungry, they are more likely to go to you when you're holding food.On the other hand, if they are full, they will be wary of you, even if you have food.Dangerous animals such as wolves and bears will leave you alone when full, but when hungry, will try to take a bite out of you.Running should startle mobs, and you should be able to sneak up on mobs if you stay behind them.

Dunk, I do not think you quite grasp how superior Canadians are to Americans. And I'm allowed to say that because I'm an American. I lived on the Minnesota USA/Canada border for many years. (International falls, the icebox of America) and it never failed to amaze how everything completely changed as soon as I went across the border. People went from ignorant antisocial drunk hillbillies (some of which were downright dangerously creepy) to incredibly friendly, well educated country folk and rednecks INSTANTLY. I just explain it that Steve's inventory and chests are personal pocket dimensions. The only thing he actually "carries" is the stuff he's wearing, sword in sheath, tool/quiver on back, and 1 item out of the stack of whatever is selected in his hotbar. Yes, he is still unusually strong holding a cubic meter of gold with two gold tools and full gold armor (vanilla here obviously, TFC equivalent would be rose gold) but no more then a minor super hero. Perfectly believable if he's genetically enhanced OR if the gravity on the minecraft planet is way lower. (Which it isn't, a MC world all the way to the far lands would be bigger than earth so unless it's hollow the gravity would be higher)

After that everything in TFC at least makes some logical sense. There IS lily pads big enough to walk on. They're only 1 square meter too. Now a donkey on the lily pads is the only place the logic breaks down.

Kitty may be neglecting to acknowledge how much sway she has in the community. (Please don't actually try this)On another note, as mentioned above, hang gliding is outside the time-scope of the mod. The first gliders weren't built functionally until the 1880's, well beyond a reasonable time range for a potential feature in Terrafirmacraft. It's a nice idea, but you'd have to leave it up to a TFC mod, not TFC itself.

Oh I'm trying that. It sounds like a great idea. I didn't realize gliders we're invent in such recent past. They're kind of simple . I think I'll make that add-on some time. It would be fun. Except you'd need reinforced poles not sticks and string for sewing the leather together into a full wing. TFC style.

I've taken a look at the piercing protection (since I think skeletons are the most dangerous enemy) from each armor class to get an idea of how useful it is to upgrade to the next tech level. I can't seem to figure out how to post a table here, so here's a plaintext breakdown.

It seems to me that upgrading to Steel armor is particularly underwhelming considering the huge resource cost of a blast furnace. I think I'll stick with wrought iron until I find nickel and skip plain steel unless slashing damage becomes more of a serious threat.

You should have used Regular bronze in that sheet not bismuth bronze.

More meat processing will likely happen, as well as maybe pickling.. but Bioxx has said that fruit probably won't be able to be preserved due to the high sugar content and the fact that canning isn't really within the time frame of TFC.

More ways of preserving meat like jerky or other smoked meats? Like BACON?! :DAlso pickling would be amazing. And canning could be a future add-on. So if vessel decreases food decay by 50% and salting decreases decay by 50% and being in a cold hole in the ground decreases it (idk how much) does that mean salted meat in a vessel in a hole below freezing is never going to decay? Or is there a minimum amount you can decrease the decay to?

The older post was incorrect, Bioxx informed me that vessels do indeed slow decay by 50%. I'll go delete that old post.

Once again, is there a difference between vessels and chests? Or vessels on the ground vs vessels in chests?

Why do you like to play TFC? Mostly from the challenge but also the attention to detail and the team work orientated aspect. And it's breathtaking scale.

Why do you want to join? I previously played on a non white listed server but since the influx of Etho's fans the lag has become too great. I am also attracted by the PVP.

What will you add to the server? I am a very good smith, an even better miner, and my builds are "good big or go home." Not great on detail but epic in scale.

Hello all, I've come to ask your advice.

My problem Is I can't moderate. I end up spending to much time on it when ever I play, staying up till 1-3 in the morning. As an athlete, I can't do this. It kills my performance. I still want to play but need to find a way to just play for a few hours. What are some techniques you use to keep yourself in check? I'm especially interested in answers from busy people like parents or college students.

Basically just the hang gliders from the crack pack, sticks and leather. Since we don't have jet packs they would not be OP, and it would be a lot of fun!

Ok, then does anyone have some ideas to what could replace this? Maybe alcohol? Because seriously it was the coolest feature ever. Maybe not realistic, but believable and way fun.

I remember you used to get random potion effects from some meals, to me this was a huge motivation to get all the food and was IMO the best end game feature. There was so many fun things like jump boost and speed and fire resist. I would like to ask the devs why it was removed and beg that it be re-implemented.

As a pig farmer, I can tell you the meat yield from a farm pig is around 200-250lb. That's at 8 months though, a 1-5 year old would be closer to 500-800lbs of meat. But it's wild pigs, and wild pigs are much smaller.
