      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. Use for the use-less ores and minerals.

your right, sorry i ment Olivine sands are used to HELP make aluminum, sorry for that *Face palm*
  2. Cartography

oh no, not what i was meaning, i ment credit for collaboration of just us TFC players who thought out the idea. but i see your point all the way, i know that we all had some sorta insight on this topic, also i guess its not really right to assume credit for anything cartography because we all get our ideas derived from history anyway. So lets give a round of applause to the historic cartographers of before our time!! *fist bump Galileo who was one of many masterminds of his time*
  3. REALLY DUMB QUESTION!

sweet, "FIST Bump" to TheWolf277 for giving good insight on this topic.
  4. REALLY DUMB QUESTION!

how do you make unshaped wrought iron in a mold for mixing pig iron and wrought iron to make steel, i check the wiki but cant find anything. IM SOOOOOOOO SORRY!!! i know i sound like a newb, please forgive me.
  5. Use for the use-less ores and minerals.

please, read the whole post next time, i made this as a reference for the development team on what these minerals are used for, And pitchblende in a source of uranium ore. so this may be a hint that Boixx may want to move forward into using Uranium Power sources. Also, Olivine could be mixed with tin, to make aluminum to be used as food cans for storage of non grain products of farming or wheat-beer cans(this is an interesting thought)
  6. Use for the use-less ores and minerals.

i know, its a post that someone can pin if they want to work on the minerals one at a time, for an idea on what to work on next. I hope this helps the development team, because i found a literal tons worth of Gypsum and have nothing to do with it because i AM NOT wasting my time mining it all. lol Edit- Graphite could be used in a bloomary to produce Graphene in small amounts, and could be use in the metallurgy table with platinum to make "Graph-tonium" and then this mixed with red-steel be turned into red(or blue if you use blue steel) titanium alloy, which could be the only alloy that can make a Solar panel, which can in turn be used with a "Graphite battery" block that would allow the solar panel to power the battery giving it a stored charge, that when switched on by a lever. sends out its charge through redstone to power light sources(i know Boixx is working on lighting so this could help as a battery could hold enough charge to power these simple light sources) Not: IM NOT TRYING TO GO TEKKIT OR IC2 ON YOU ALL. I THINK TFC should eventually plan on moving forward past the castle age. but not so much that it would take away from the basis of TFC being a revision on Minecraft survival.
  7. Oil! [not petroleum]

not to mention non-tenderized and oil-sauced pork chops. GIVE ME LARD OR GIVE ME "a screw-driver in the rectum"
  8. Cartography

you know, i really find it sad that you guys dont have a credit list for you two working on this so much, not to mention that other people had bits and pieces that might have brought together your ideas, could you(i am asking very very very very very nicely) to make a credits section on this post please, ill give you a cookie and a red steel star.
  9. Terrafirma minimap

you know, you guys are really good at thinking out this kinda stuff, when you make a new topic on the cartography map idea send me a message about it, i think this can go some were for TFC,
  10. Terrafirma minimap

I think we can agree a in-game craft-able map is much more acknowledged as being a more accepted Idea. so their are a number of dyes already in Minecraft, my basis for an in-game map would be a Cartography type map. here is some ground work that still needs to be finished. 1) craft a Cartography table using 1 red dye 1 blue dye, 1 ink sac, and one orange dye(made from yellow and red) 1 green dye along the top in that order, 3 pieces of paper along the middle section of a crafting table with the bottom being in this order; planks, red stone, planks. placed any ware the player decides to use it. 2) craft Cartography paper using wool and paper and ink plus leather. in this order in a 2X2 grid on the crafting table; ink-leather(top)-wool-paper(bottom) to get a section of cartography paper, meaning that the map can be expanded using the cartography table in a 2 block grid to add two pieces together to make a bigger size for example; tiny-very small- small- medium- large-very large- huge. each expanding the map grid from(tiny being only a 15X15 block radius) to very small being a 25X25 block radius. and from very small to small being 35X35 etc. 3) gather dyes from flowers and ink and bone meal along with cactus green, and heat them in a fire pit or forge till hot then use a hammer to smash the pigments our of the dye to gain "(color) cartography ink" this will allow the use of a cartography table to design the map according ONLY to the players knowledge, no help from the game AT ALL. 4) it is up to the player to paint accurately so as not to get lost through poor surveying skills, also the map can be painted over and over again as to add details little by little as the player surveys the area around him along with updating any details such as new buildings or walls or towers or hills, and ETC. 5) due to the map quality being based on the skill of the player, a master cartographer can trade his or her map that they painted in bartering for what we all can agree a good amount based on the skill and time it will take to be good at making the map itself along with the materials needed to get the table and paper and cartography ink. 6) i have mentioned the points of paper, and cartography inks(made through the detailed process on page one). Red stone(yes i know it is pretty much electricity) because it would but mapping in a more advanced stage of Terrafirmacraft. and also the fact that you could just take the cartography table with in the field because it is easier to link to GUI the a block. Also terrafirmacraft is made to be a challenge for expert mine crafters but simple enough for new players also. and even though cartography was done on ordinary tables, the cartography table includes all the tools cartographer used to chart the maps anyway. (i will edit this post when i have finished gathering ideas from other players and their positive feed back on the subject, HINDMOST'S concept is a considerable one using different dyes in the game to sorta "paint a players perspective of the landscape around him/her with his own custom details. But i will return to this after some more detailed thought and feed back. current help in the idea; Hindmost Srgnoodles DocStine(along with a friend)
  11. Development update?

i hope they add metal storage blocks very soon, thats going to give me somthing to use all this starter ore for somthing other then a ton of tools and armor for the armor stand mod,
  12. Development update?

So whats in the dev, teams mind please for the next up coming update if you don't mind me asking im not trying to be a bother but im sure we all want to know what MIGHT be coming up, if its a secret update with some cool stuff then that's fine.

  16. REALLY DUMB QUESTION!

please enlighten me on this "sponge iron" im very curious and too lazy to google it.
  17. REALLY DUMB QUESTION!

lol yea me neither. thanks for the help
  18. REALLY DUMB QUESTION!

i have a wrought iron anvil know actually, i just couldn't figure out the whole unshaped liquid wrought iron EDIT- yup, put a ceramic mold in the forge and heated the wrought iron to brillient white and it gave me unshaped wrought iron mold. WHO HOO!
  19. REALLY DUMB QUESTION!

idk, but i dont know how to melt the wrought iron into a mold, do i use a fire pit or what? can someone give me specifics, because no one has said whether it be in a bloomary, fire pit, or forge. because ive tried so much but cant figure it out. im so sorry for being dumb. do i just put a ceramic mold in the forge? because that's what i'm thinking
  20. Metal blocks

you could add a copper smelter, that when a storage block as added it melts down the blocks into its own storage container, that you then add regular molds too to gain the liquid ore, "to smelt, or not to smelt, that is the question"
  21. Terrafirma minimap

the red stone was for difficulty purpose only, not really to make exact sense. the table is because you could not possibly complete all the steps in making a map that requires that much work in the field, unless you made the process achievable through a portable cartography kit but that also would make it easier for people to mark their maps because they could just keep walking and detailing the landscape as they go, as compared to thoroughly memorizing the landscape and detailing the map from a workspace, also if you wanted to detail the map on the go, you could just take the table with you anyway, along with the materials needed to detail the map. if you have a suggestion, leave at least one paragraph of details with this in mind, it may not make complete sense, but also make it so it takes skill and time to do as a cartography map gives a lot of help. edit: i have mentioned the points of paper, and cartography inks(made through the detailed process on page one).
  22. Terrafirma minimap

you know, that is a good idea, makes much more sense, red should be more for lava and orange really does not match anything except for deserts but would yellow be better for deserts? im thinking it would, with lime green dye dotting the cacti.
  23. Terrafirma minimap

yup, because it would put cartography in an advanced stage of the game because of how hard it is to find red stone ore, everything else is just to match the theme of a cartography table with the dyes being the colors and the wood being the base and the paper being the cover for the table. stuff like that
  24. Terrafirma minimap

ohhhhhhhhh nooooooooo, well time to insert an air tube down my throat. and besides i dont think he was talking about me anyway, i only called my self a name under good reason except for maybe a few things here and their. lol
  25. Metal blocks

ohhhhh, i thought you meant for this mod, my apologies
