im with ecc on this one. i really need a blast resistant house because i held the record for creeper huggles on jed's server. i even managed to break the game a few times by trying to hug a creeper over an anvil.........

also as much as I want things to be realistic, gameplay will always come first in my heart. and i think obsidian bricks would look really cool...........

This one is connfused as to how the addition of dragons goes with the unofficial theme that has begun to take hold., which is that of a realistic late stone age to middle ages survival mod. Now i know that this isn't what bioxx intended for it to become, but this is the case nonetheless. Now dont get me wrong dragons are great, but they arn't real...... A 'true' dragon - hereafter we shall use the european mythologies, because the more eastern takes on this are entirely different and not relevant to this discussion - is an animal with a lithe feline skeletomuscular structure, thick and heavily scaled hide, an elongated tail often taking up its own body length or longer, a swan-like elongated neck, and 6 total limbs; these being 2 semi-plantigrade forelegs, 2 digitigrade hindlegs (often but not always sporting a large dewclaw), and 2 extremely large membranous wings, whose span often exceeds the creature's bodylength even with the tail included.

A basilisk is an entirely unrelated creature, entirely reptilian (short and squat, legs out to the side rather than under it, tail used for balance), which lives in dark places and possesses a medusa-like supernatural ability to turn any sighted organism to an unspecified rock type by locking gazes with it.

A wyvern is an evolutionary cousin to true dragons, sort of like the Neanderthal to a dragon's Homo Sapiens. Less intelligent by quite a margin, they are also more avian than a true dragon, having wings INSTEAD of arms, rather than in addition to them. Like most crocodillians, a true dragon will never die of age, but will instead simply grow larger and stronger until they fall victim to disease, predation, or unhappy chance. Exceptionally long-lived dragons are often referred to as Wyrms, and can reach incredible proportions. Don't fuck with them.

Anyone mind posting a video showing how to install all the mods. Im usually really good with mods but the past five times ive tried to install these, ive always gotten the same error, where it gets stuck on the Done Loading part that you get when you install a fresh jar.

In all proceeding discussion regarding a new "best metal" i think it would be best to simply call it the uber metal and once again leave the naming for another thread.

Hmm yes i see the mistake with these fancy names now. They sound more like something out of wow or skyrim than from TFC. Also i am seeing an overuse of the word steel. At the beginning I had considered titanium but it was replaced with holy steel. I need to stop overimagining.

Ahhhhh i do see theproblem with the name holy steel. Perhaps shining steel. The dragon steel thing is cool, (i just know im going to get yelled at for this) but i think it ventures away from TFC and towards skyrim. I do love the concept of valyrian steel because i love game of thrones, buuuut in my mind shining/holy/whateverthehellyawannacallit steel is basically the same idea: a metal that is stronger and sharper than no other. Plus the name valyrian steel is already taken.

Backstory:

An orphan raised by a gang of street urchins, Liam grew up in An Daingean, Ireland. Numbered among the scrappy youths that were his friends was the girl who would eventually become his wife. During his time with the gang he learned the art of thievery. When he was 18, he got married and he and his wife took to the road, where he learned the art of smithing. He worked that trade for many months. One day, his small homestead was attacked, and it burned, as did his son, Aedan. The forge survived however, and he forged himself armor and a weapon. He left his wife in the care of a friend and went to seek his revenge.

He hunted down the bandits who murdered his son and slaughtered them with the skills he had honed for the past several years on the road. He then discovered that the bandits had been hired by a very rich family in An Daingean, and that it had something to do with his parents. He returned to his wife, and they returned to the town where they grew up. Liam taught himself how to find the darkest corner with the best view in which to wait for the opportune moment to strike, and one by one he eliminated the men who ordered the death of his only child. He heard of the Discovery's voyage, left his wife to take care of the inn they now ran, and signed on to the crew. One shipwreck later, and he must survive in the hopes of seeing his wife again some day.

Lol sorry. I know how yall feel i just had to get it out. My basic ideas can be summed up in this: magma forge=bloomery+forge but with no need for coal, the lower it is the better, should be made out of smooth stone or stone bricks. To work near lava you need to wear leather that has been taned on a tanning rack, which is like an anvil but with leather and a knife instead of metal and a hammer. 4 new metals and a change to one, creating three new tiers. Green steel which is tier 6 when mixed with red and blue steel creates the tier seven metal white steel. Black steel is now also tier 7. Heat the two together in a magma forge to get burning steel. Heat burning, white, black, red, green, and blue steel in a magma forge to get holy steel. Ratio is one of each ingot in the magma forge to one of weak holysteel. Holy steel is now the est metal in the game, looks like white steel, which is oBviously white, but with patterns and stuff. I think its power is balanced out by the complexity of crafting it. Also the leather must be boiled and cured, and heat damage should increase in metal armor.

I love how this went from seige weapons to replacing jeb.

It could work something like carving from inficraft or the hammer and chisel feature from the runic dust mod.
