So a couple people were asking for this in IRC. I found this buried in the Feed The Beast forums. Yeah... I know... Seriously, this game is way more entertaining than I thought it would be. It's not as fun when you play single player, but multi-player is potentially the most hillarious thing you could do with a night. I recommend this game. On YouTube DocM77 does a reasonable job of showing off the game.

I would suggest the same as Sda209; use admin commands to get glowstone. Offer to trade it for gems.

That would be fun, I think, but the propick would need more precision and accuracy for that to be playable.

I have no reason to mod a game/mod until development either stops, or no longer heads in a direction which excites me.

Unbeknownst to Skyrim and World of Warcraft, a forge is not a device for melting metals, it is more accurately described as a workbench.And yes, ore really can be crudely melted into metals with a campfire.

I love me some KSP. Going to stream this weekend, maybe sooner, but I am not as good as you appear to be, nor have I used any mods except for the early NovaPunch pack.

The two mods aren't compatible. It's a simple issue. You can try to change code around all you want, but neither team of developers will like you doing it, and here at TFC you will find no praise for your accomplishment if you actually do manage to get the two working together. Let me explain exactly what you're doing. TFC is still in beta, and it's not a quirky little beta like Starcraft or MechWarrior Online open beta. TFC is still deeply embedded in a beta state, meaning that it is entirely possible for drastic changes to be made in game-play. In addition to this, it is very well known that there are many more features which have yet to be added, including more animals created mainly by Dunkleosteous. Essentially what it boils down to, is that you cannot be bothered to help the developers test the game, yet you want all of the perks that come along with testing. The mod is available for testing, not for playing, although the two are similar they are not the same.

So many people are out to get some magical effect out of gems. Using them for spells or sticking them into armor and weapons. I just want gems... Piles of them... I want to wake up in the morning and wade through my gem pile to the front door to start my day. And as I walk down my gem encrusted pathway to my mines I will think to myself "This is a good day."

Dear Zed, You're an idiot... When using a prospector's pick, you are collecting and examining a sample of that rock. Based on what you find in that rock sample you are able to make some conjectures as to what lies nearby. However, sometimes the sample you collect, does not display the characteristics of nearby ore, which is why you receive false negatives. False positives do not exist because if you discover signs of copper nearby then there is surely copper nearby unless that sample had been placed there by someone else, which simply would not happen in a TFC world. Hopefully this explains the reasoning behind the prospector's pick in a way which makes it more understandable for you. Now about your sonar pick... You see, Zed, when modern humans employ sonar, they require highly advanced electronic equipment in order to emit the proper vibrations into the ground as well as to read the returning vibrations. Not only that, but a great deal of study is required in order to be able to properly analyze the data obtained from such a measurement.
