      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

    To be honest, I think there should be more to TFC farming, but I don't think making the current process simply harder is the right thing. There is a thin line between the game being difficult and frustrating. 

     

    What I think should be done (in some way) is creating a sort of "tier" system, kind of like we have with the metals. (stone age, no pick -> casting age -> all tools and weapons, no armour -> smithing age -> everything posible from bronze -> bloomery -> Blast Furnace)

     

    I don't have the exact ideas right now, since its 8:30 AM here where I live and I was awake for the whole night, but I'll try to come up with some system later when I'm fresh.

    It is not uncommon to travel quite far before you find a certain resource in TFC. 

     

    And by the way, while the thing about ores spawning in certain rock types is certainly true, bismuithinite, native copper, tetrahedrite (copper) and sphalerite (zinc) can spawn in the top layer even though it is not "their" type of stone. The wiki is little confusing with this information, but from what I experienced, when at least one of the layer can contain those metals, there is a chance that it'll spawn in the top layer of the stone too, regardless of type. However I can't confirm if it works exactly like that, I can only confirm that I did found native copper in stone where it shouldn't be.

    Hello there lads and lasses,

     

    I decided to unleash my creativity and began a story about our well known buddy Steve. But since I am not recording, but writting, I wanted to do something more than just write down some gameplay. And so I threw some mysterious stuff to the pot. I won't publish it here as posts since that kind of topic usually gets quite a pain to navigate through, but I will include direct links to the story on my Deviantart page and I will include a "chapter" list in this first post.     WHY DO YOU WANT TO PLAY?: Cause while I like to play mostly by myself I find interactions like trading enjoyable... and it's no fun in SSP when you can't boast xD

     

    HOW LONG HAVE YOU PLAYED TFC?: A couple of weeks.

     

    SOMETHING ABOUT YOURSELF: I hate overcrowded words. Small friendly communities are more like it. A server where I can play mostly alone, but chat with other players and occasionaly trade or visit is something I would really like :)

    Well if you want to read my stories, you can check out my deviantart profile. It's not up to date, it contains about half of the story I've written so far, but I'll be updating it in a few days. I wrote more stories than just tis one, but it's all in my native language. I do plan to translate my better stuff eventually but not anytime soon.
