      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. Prospectors' pick madness

the way that the prospectors pick currently works (together with the ore distributions that we have right now) is maybe the sole most gameplay enhancing element this mod brings to the table. It makes any and every vein find seem like a gigantic achievement!
  2. Peat as a fuel source

Peat can store nutrients although it is not fertile itself. So it would make more sense to use it for making soil augmentation.
  3. If I can put in a little suggestion, try to have more variety in the different stone materials if possible. The hue shift is nice indeed, but I think it would be even better to have realistic depictions of the different stone types as well as more variations within the same stone variant. An example: marble (click for full view) hope that helps, cheers...^^
  4. Sequoia Saplings?

I like the justification for the change, it both has merit and fits with the feel of the mod.A suggestion though. I think that by giving a very small chance to have a sapling come out of both tree types would be more even more beneficial regarding points 1 and 2. Instead of going on a logging trip and putting the axe to the mighty tree, the player that knows there is a chance to recover a sapling will prefer to make a scaffold and spend more time hitting the leaves before logging it. Thats how scarcity and awareness work too. You are taught to work more, to have more.
  5. Peat as a fuel source

A suggestion would be to actually make peat more difficult to use. In its current form, the ability to stack 64 pieces of it and use it instead of logs for fuel is a little OP imo, especially since inventory management is a big aspect of TFcraft. Some suggestions that could help with that: Make peat stack less.introduce a "drying" process before it is readily usuable (thus adding more realism).reduce the amount of heat it generates and or reduce the length of burning time.reserve peat for agriculture use (horticulture, soil enhancing etc).
