      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. @flyingdutchman

Results changed a bit, but yes, it's definitely not a majority.

Most also do not take into account, that MP players usually have no reason to come on official TFC pages. Administrators, developers, moderators, helpers, and other "server staff members" should take care of everything players need to play.

Administrators and SP players are the ones that check this forums usually, imo.

If we - admins - would be told, that this poll is going to do something about TFC's future, we would call our players to increase those MP votes =]

SP is not a majority, but it's now at 50%.

A further 20% play on "private" MP servers, with another 7% playing on an SP world opened to the LAN.

So that's 77% for whom the server is probably *not* running when the players aren't online.

On what evidence do you base your statement that "MP players have no reason to come on official ATC pages..."?

I am neither an avid SP player nor an admin, and I know of a number of others in my situation who also read this forum.

  2. Interesting rrading the 'too old to play MP' comments.

I wonder just how old these players are? I'm over 50 and can still play MP with those under half my age with no problems - or perhaps I'm still a kid at heart? lol  One interestingthing this poll is showing is that almost half of those who vted (45% at present) play Singe Player... No wonder they aren't bugged by the torches dying out after 2 MC days, or food decay...

  3. Most people are already swimming in sticks anyways, but that's beside the point because this change doesn't make you consume any more sticks than before. When a torch burns out, just right click on it with another torch to relight it. You don't need to make a new one every time a torch burns out.

    People are "swimming in sticks"

Once they get a bit more advanced, yes.

"You don't need to make a new one..."

Are you implying that you can right-click a burnt-out torch on another to reight one or both?

If so then I'd agree, if it has to be a lit one, then I kinda disagree - you still have to make at least one more - unless you have ensured that there are always some torches lit (synchronisation).
