ATTENTION Forum Database Breach 03/04/2019
There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again. -

Sorry I don't think you got what i was saying there. That's what I meant but so it can be fit in with my idea ONE block of the catapult would be made in a crafting table so then it can be limited to a tech level. So the the winding part will have to be made in a crafting table and then the catapult will be made 'in game' (like you said).

Are I see now but i would think that a 'in game' craft could work the same way as a crafting table one or a part of the 'in game' craft has to be made on the table first.

There have been mods with moving objects before. Is that what your getting at?? and they would be a latter tiered item in respects to my post.

I just started a thread that this kind of fits in with. http://terrafirmacraft.com/f/topic/932-tf-craft-more-rpg-like-but-not-realy-rpg/ It is more for sever playing / later game (Eg I have full Red steel type thing).

Yes but most heavy metal lose there edge on the first hit. Steel is an 'all rounder' as such.

Fire and Ice come to mind? This kind of fits in but things should have things that there good and bad at. Eg. Heavier metals should be used for crushing weapons and lighter metals for swords. Just like it is in Dwarf Fortress

Ok. Now to clear up some points. 1st. With forge there is an unlimited amount of ITEM ids but there is still only the 250 something BLOCK ids. 2nd. I think (Im starting out with moding) that you cant change durability with enchanting or with out changing the ITEM id.

Yes I do know its an idea to keep some of what was removed. Just an idea and also maybe different handle types? Like there made form different things? For now it would have to be metals.
