      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. Workers

i'm running on a two year old mac and i've never had any bad lag.
  2. Making support beams with the saw

a support beam is essentially just logs that are chopped into sections. an axe is much better for blunt work such as making a square than the saw.
  3. Dirt Roads

it should work like grass when unsupported, except for the random grass to dirt transition.
  4. Built Minecraft.jar file download

The support topic is little to no help as no one checks there often enough, and when they do you get a lot of 'delete META-INF.'
  5. Workers

mine colony AI is overly complicated. The AI from Millenaire works fine for what it does. The only difference would be you can choose if little timmy tidbits grows up to be a miner or a lumberjack.
  6. Dirt Roads

let's not forget that minecrafters are a creative lot and will always use your building materials for something that wasn't intended. The first thing i can see happening with tamped earth is flooring for dirt huts, roofing for your dirt charcoal pits that won't cave in, ect. Dirt roads would also be a great solution when connecting two villages in smp, as making traditional stone roads requires you to replace a ton of blocks.
  7. Total Ranged Overhaul

I'd love to ambush a donkey caravan going through a mountain valley accompanied by a few archers. +1 I was thinking, if we added advanced range, could it be possible to add hitboxes. I'd like to shoot someone in the face with a crossbow and have it mean something.
  8. Built Minecraft.jar file download

I've installed the mod multiple times correctly and i'm having issues with the latest version. The solution is not going 'that person is stupid,' the solution is to find the cause of the problem and correct it. issues can range from OS to OS, as well as different models of the same computer. An installer seems like a very viable and useful solution to the 'whole mod is broken because you forgot to drag 1 file into the ADSF folder' issue.
  9. Basic Items

buckets can be made of wood by making a bowl with two extra wood on the top left and right corners.
  10. Generating a new world crash

    i get the same problem too. this is my error report. 3 mods loadedMinecraft Forge 3.3.8.152FML v2.2.78.153Forge Mod Loader version 2.2.78.153 for Minecraft 1.2.5mod_UpdateManager : Available (minecraft.jar)mod_MinecraftForge : Available (minecraft.jar)mod_TFC_Core : Available (minecraft.jar) Minecraft has crashed! ---------------------- Minecraft has stopped running because it encountered a problem.--- BEGIN ERROR REPORT 47b99e43 --------Generated 7/8/12 10:49 PMMinecraft: Minecraft 1.2.5OS: Mac OS X (x86_64) version 10.6.8Java: 1.6.0_31, Apple Inc.VM: Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (mixed mode), Apple Inc.LWJGL: 2.4.2OpenGL: NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT OpenGL Engine version 2.1 NVIDIA-1.6.36, NVIDIA Corporationjava.lang.NullPointerExceptionat com.pclewis.mcpatcher.mod.Colorizer.colorizeWater(Colorizer.java:142)at agv.c(SourceFile:40)at vl.n(RenderBlocks.java:2886)at vl.b(RenderBlocks.java:380)at ct.a(WorldRenderer.java:211)at l.a(RenderGlobal.java:1461)at lr.a(EntityRenderer.java:1070)at lr.b(EntityRenderer.java:903)at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.x(Minecraft.java:873)at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.run(Minecraft.java:750)at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:680)--- END ERROR REPORT 85ba9616 ----------
  11. Crashing upon world gen

Whenever I try to create or play a world, my minecraft crashes. META-INF IS DELETED. I think everything is loaded correctly, as i've done everything the same as i have before and minecraft starts up normally. I'm on Mac, but as far as i know that only changes how you're supposed to add the mod.
  12. When people suggest this I just get mad. People blindly spit this out as a trouble shoot without ever actually reading the post.
  13. ideas regarding agriculture (nutrient/fetilizer/compost)

Food is something that is so fundamental to playing the game, that the player would spend most of their time tending to it instead of doing things like finding metal, building, or smithing. A better solution would be to have extra steps to make crops have more yield, such as fertilizing or prepping crop land, that way vanilla planting would stay unchanged, but smp servers could have better farms.
  14. More types of stairs specifically for aesthetics.

Now, if we could whittle statues out of logs to decorate our houses...
  15. Dirt Roads

The reason it should be stone is because once a person has metal they probably have enough stone to make cobble or brick roads. Metal variants could be possible, but I really see this as a starting level tool. I also think this is going to be used to make cheap hut flooring, considering the nature of the tool.
  16. Dirt Roads

The best way to make dirt roads would be to implement a stone tool that would stamp the ground into a dirt road block. removing the road would be done with a shovel, but would be difficult to dig up because of how packed it is, they would also drop a normal dirt block. Roads should not revert to dirt unless they are completely covered in water.
  17. Fortification

Try digging through a 3 layer thick, 32 block high wall with gravity cobble. You're not getting through that unless they leave their wall unguarded all day.
  18. Fish traps and more fish

There have been people trained to salvage things from shipwrecks since before roman times. Either way, the ocean floor is pretty bland, the only reason to make it deeper would be so we can have bigger mobs.
  19. Problem with Lava and Water...

It'll get removed eventually, there's really no practical, cheaty use you could use it for. I guess you could make stone swords but a thrown javelin does more damage than a sword, so it's more of a downgrade.
  20. Enchanting\buffing food with spices.

mosquitos and zombies both want to eat you.
  21. Problem with Lava and Water...

You can't make furnaces and stone tools break TFC stone slower than normal tools.
  22. Game time based on system time!?

i've locked myself in a small hole for 12 hours and left the inventory screen on while i did other things before. I removed my battery so my computer wouldn't heat up too much.
  23. Enchanting\buffing food with spices.

eating garlic makes mosquitos not bite you.
  24. A gun...

crossbows would look really bad because the stalks would go vertically, not horizontally.
