      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. [Solved][b78.9]Bon fires burn forever

I had been appreciating the incredibly fuel-efficient fires, but felt that a single a single Aspen log burning for 2 days straight was perhaps a bit much.
  2. How do you empty an ingot mold?

    Thanks! I'll try that.
  3. Gold Panning Questions:

Is there any difference in nugget yields between filling the goldpan with Sand vs. Gravel? Do overworked areas recover over time? Why are Gold, silver and Platinum so abundant in panning? Are they no longer rare minerals? Black bronze is now the cheapest early metal as opposed to being a luxury. Why are native Copper and Silver nuggets even pannable? Gold and Platinum will form nuggets because the tiny grains washed down streams will cold-weld together due to their lack of an oxide coating. Copper and SIlver in river gravel is quite rare, only in the immediate vicinity of a deposit and is often highly corroded. Why no other minerals? Cassiterite was classically gathered from alluvial deposits in streams, and Magnetite is famous for it's "black sands" or "iron sands" found around the world. At a minimum, panning for Cassiterite would fit in well.Questions 3-5 are more about my personal opinion and being put off by the relative cheapness of Black Bronze. I do (more or less) understand why panning was done this way, according to the devblog.
  4. I placed a Black Bronze ingot (still in its clay mold) in a fireplace with an empty Clay Mold in the second output slot. My intent was to heat and re-liquefy the ingot and be ready to catch any if it didn't stay in its original mold. I lit the fire and went outside to gather sticks. As I was clearing the foliage, the game crashed with the following report. Given the contents of the crash report, I believe that the crash occurred the moment the Black Bronze melted. Loading up the save results in an identical crash, and so that world is un-useable for now. To reproduce: Take a clay mold filled with Black Bronze (or any metal?) and place it in a fireplace to melt it.
