      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Animal Spawn Rate

First post (yay).

I'm not sure if this belongs in the tweak megathread. Sorry in advance.

I don't always go camping, but when I do, I enjoy the peace and serenity. In TFcraft, I noticed a lack of peace and quiet because of the 50 cows next to my dirt shelter. No matter what I did I just couldn't get those cows away from my farm and home. Now, something tells me our ancestors were more worried about the scarcity of cows then the abundance of them.

What I am suggesting is to not change the rate of food drop, but change the amount of peaceful mobs in the world. As of now I can find enough food for the entire Minecraft month in 15 minutes. I propose the developers either reduce the amount of edible non aggressive mobs in a generated world or have the peaceful non aggressive mobs flee when the player is within 20 blocks or so (not sure of a good distance). A combination of both would also be great. This would also make thrown weapons more useful (how may cavemen walked up to an elk and bludgeoned it to death?) along with making dogs and other pets more useful.

You see, in the near future, these "passive" mobs will want to gore you to death. Also, animals no longer respawn, so once you kill all those cows, you will never have any more unless you go to a new land and find more. Be careful.

(The no-respawn was added in by notch)

In the change log, I mention mating. It *should* already be happening automatically =P
