Only the people who have been here long enough to see that pattern, most people assume the staff of any forum are waaaay high up there and never come down and associate with us "common folk" unless some rule has been broken. It's awesome that these forums aren't like that

For all the wooden npegs you need, just chop down an ironwood. It's strong, colorful and made of wood.

I'd going to assume that the largest the wooden peg might end up being is maybe a quarter to half a foot long for heavy duty constructions. I'm also going to assume that since a single stick is used for both the handles of various tools and also for javelins that the length of a single stick is roughly 3-4 feet minimum. Going off this (and not even taking into consideration that those single stick javelins look pretty darn straight) I'd say even from a curved, bent, or crooked stick you could carve at least a good 8-10 pegs using the axe to chop and then edge the pegs accordingly, taking into account potential loss of wood due to warped wood, knots, etc. That all said, the sticks look pretty straight to me. Anyone who thinks it unrealistic that all the sticks are uniformly straight might also consider the cubic nature of the rest of the world.
