      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Guys (and girls) you're all forgetting some thing vitally important... If Bioxx starts it then it doesn't get derailed!

because it's either locked, or something people are really looking forward to, and want to talk about in a place they KNOW the devs will see.

I look at all threads anyway.

Only the people who have been here long enough to see that pattern, most people assume the staff of any forum are waaaay high up there and never come down and associate with us "common folk" unless some rule has been broken. It's awesome that these forums aren't like that :)

+1 for more advanced woodworking.

See Alone in the Wilderness for more information.

P.s. They are called wooden pegs, not wood nails.

I'd like making special clay molds for pouring different metal shapes. Have a nail mold : )

stick + axe = handful of wooden pegs

Ehhhh, no. Sticks are not perfectly straight!

For all the wooden npegs you need, just chop down an ironwood. It's strong, colorful and made of wood.

I'd going to assume that the largest the wooden peg might end up being is maybe a quarter to half a foot long for heavy duty constructions. I'm also going to assume that since a single stick is used for both the handles of various tools and also for javelins that the length of a single stick is roughly 3-4 feet minimum. Going off this (and not even taking into consideration that those single stick javelins look pretty darn straight) I'd say even from a curved, bent, or crooked stick you could carve at least a good 8-10 pegs using the axe to chop and then edge the pegs accordingly, taking into account potential loss of wood due to warped wood, knots, etc. That all said, the sticks look pretty straight to me. Anyone who thinks it unrealistic that all the sticks are uniformly straight might also consider the cubic nature of the rest of the world.
