      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

hey guys. i have been looking at adding and removing some mods from the server and i want to know what you guys think.

i am wanting to remove punts. the boats or not working as well as i hoped.

i would like to add Factorization to the sever for better storage of mass goods like stone, plank, planks, etc. but i know that the current recipes would have to change since you can not get many of the items.

Did somebody order a 3x3 crafting grid to go? Craft directly from your inventory, at any time! Press 'c' to use. Of course, you'll have to clear out that extra junk in your inventory before you can use it. But don't worry; with this mod, that won't be a problem for long! If you have NEI installed, you can use it while in other GUIs. If you press the 'c' key with the window open, it will drag and rotate the items around the perimeter. If you press the 'b' key, it will balance the item stacks. The 'x' key will try to clear the crafting area.

The Almighty Barrel

Based on item-stockpiling technology discovered in the recently abandoned Fortress of Nod Semor, the barrel can store 64 stacks of a single item type. Never fill a chest with cobblestone again!

Right click a barrel with an item to drop it in; left-click to remove. Double-right clicking will dump all of the matching items in your inventory into a barrel, left-click will pull a stack out, and shift-left click will pull out a single item.

Is 64 stacks not nearly enough for your cobblegen? There's an upgrade for that...

for this we do have to option of the Carpenter bench with its 4x4 crafting grid. another option is to make a vender sell it for something. no mater how we decide to go it will take some time.

2. adding factorization for two things - overkill and not neccessary (not definitely no, but the TFC is meant to be difficult survival, not easy and decorative)

we could use something, that could help us build fast tunel with horse cariage to the mine sites though

still satisfied with your mod choice

To add tihis mod right now would feel op, becouse we are very well setup. The other thang will be to balance the mod to tfc. I shouldn not be the only person balanceing, becouse I might make it to hard or easy. The on their thing to not is that this mod was made to work with red power and build-craft I can't say if I want to use earher although it would be nice to have a sorting system. I will be trying to talk to the mod authors to add tfc comparability. Of corse there is one other option is for me to right a comparability addon.

In my smp test. I feel that I have found a good recipe for the barrels costing 48 plank. I will try post images when I get home.

I a side note what mods would you like added if they were rebalanced for tfc?

Tfc Is ment to be hard but once you have a good sorce of ore it really is not that hard and then you start to collect a lot of stone, ore, building supplies, along with many other thing. This mod would not be adding an endgame but more of a mid game. If we added something like red power that would be end game or even build craft is more of a end game mod. I would much rather add something like BTW seeing that it is along the same lines. But I can't and I been unable to get the sorce code.

As of build 76 we will not longer need Custom NPC. the server will have Vanilla Recipes turned on.

so when TFC 76 comes out do we want to keep Custom NPC?

I would keep the NPC trader definitely, because what he did with leather making is nice, BUT how are we gonna make backpacks now? (even small ones would become too expensive)

I'm expert in Minecraft and pretty expert in TFC, i know it well, i'm good to find ores, i've got something like 6th sense using propick, or maybe i'm just lucky, in my experience i succeeded to reach steel, but for unfortune i can't go further not finding gold, silver, nickel.. I can say that my favourite job would be finding ores, even if sometimes for what i said before is rather frustrating.. I can fit any job though but even if i like smithing i'm not so expert to make always them at 100% durability, and i don't like making armors because they last nothing :)

PS: oh, only for info, apart chicken for eggs, rancher is a job pretty useless, we can't make animals breed so killing animals make the rancher always searching every time more far than before for keeping ranches filled

How i write the ip to enter the server, link is still giving me this:

401. Unauthorized.

Make sure you have permissions and try again.

oh what a moron, that's so much time i don't use multiplayer that i forgot the way entering one from minecraft :)

PS is ther a problem if i got render player API in my .jar?

PPS So far i'm not having problems, the village is nicely done, for now i will stay at ado_hoppo's house, i've visited all your houses, i was very curious to see how all of you have structured your bases :) only two things disappointed me, the first is the npc near akhammy's house, which offers a conversione from a wool block to only two strings, this because in vanilla 4 strings are required to make wool, moreover there's already a mod which adds the conversion from inventory or crafting table to make 4 strings from wool :) the second is the size of the backpacks D: i'm so wont to their default size that now they seem so small xD one thing i will suggest is, since cows can't breed and the need of leather is pretty high, someone of the npcs vendors can maybe give leather in exchange for something else, like one of the first tiers ingots

2. we discused the conversion ratio and with sheeps and shears (and 96 day yearspan) it is enough (only pricy compensation for lack of spiders)

- we will see how b76 will influence it (hammy - do you know if it will be possible to use shears on sheep?)

3. size of backpacks is also apropriate (when compared to chest size) and if you go at least 500m-700m from our bases, you are free to hunt and take as much leather as possible - also I can give you enough leather and strings for two big backpacks and some unused small ones

- this also will change with b76, where possibly some breeding bugs will be fixed (hopefuly) and also the leather products making will change

4. we may not avoid changing the NPC trading - but we are waiting for what changes b76 and fix builds will bring

5. I visited your base and please be careful with sequoia trees - at some point or situation they crash the server!

if you need any tools just make them yourself at my house, when you'll start search for gold and silver I'll show you the only mine I've found so far

3) Thanks, i've already done myself two big backpacks :D

5) Sequoias tend to crash the server? in which way? they make it crash if someone chop too many of them down or they make it crash if there are too many of them planted and growed?

For those that currently play in the server, do you use MultiMC? I am having issues with getting exceptions and such when trying to launch the game with the required mods.

By the way, could you confirm the version numbers of the mods:

  • Player API (1.8 is the latest for 1.4.6)
  • smart moving (12.0 is for 1.4.7)
  • Simply Horses (no version was given to use)
  • Leather Water Sac (no version was given to use)
  • Custom NPC (no version was given to use)

Hi, I don't use MultiMC but I can help you with the mods

in the first post of thread is versions like this: the player API 1.3 and forge 6.0.5.489 (486 works for me fine too)

for the other mods you can use the pack I already made for other user - all required mods with working version are there: http://hoppo.hopto.org/download/mod_pack.zip

(just unpack them to mods directory or install in other way)

It appears that my problem was that I was putting all of the mods in the Minecraft.jar tab of my instance in MultiMC instead of putting them in the Mods Folder tab.

Regardless, it appears that there is no link for the 1.4.6 version of Custom NPC located here where it should be.
