      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Agriculture (grains)

12 posts in this topic

Anyone knows what is the meaning of this: (this should be applied to grains)

"Allows multiple harvests. Once harvested, will revert to an earlier growth stage"

I tried everything, using fists, scythe, left click, right click and crouching. The only thing that works is destroying the whole plant.

Is this already in game? How can I use this?

You HAVE to destroy the plant, as though you harvested it, and it will revert back to seedling growth as though it were just planted. This gives you the crop it produces and saves you from having to replant it wasting seeds.

This doesn't happen with me. Once I destroy the plant, it's gone.

Yeah I've never actually seen that happen either. The crop is gone and it requires replanting.

Really? O.o I thought that was only the case with some plants and not all of them. So they are ALL supposed to regrow after you harvest them? Hmmmm.... maybe they do... in another part of the world. ;)

Does your crops grow back without you replanting them?

Question:

Is it known what factors affect crops? Rain, water source, light, overcrowding.

I can't seem to be able to plant anything..

As Gorni was trying to point out, only tomatoes have this function as of yet: when fully ripe, right-clicking will harvest tomatoes, but will revert the plant to an earlier stage.

no for me, only these I can grow:

-snip-

The rest dies immidiatly or after a while

I think this is due to lack of nutrients. Soil has 3 separate values for nutrients, and once you harvest plant of one nutrient group, you need to plant ones from another group here or else it will grow inherently slower and might die.

Overcrowding doesn't affect plants, afaik. As for water and rain, plants need them, but I don't know what happens if they are lack saturation and is there an oversaturation atm.

Yellow and Red bell peppers too Gorni. If you harvest them early, you get green bell peppers. READ THE CHANGELOGS GUYS!!!!
