      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Trees and Leaves

Here's a quick idea about trees and leaves

Instead of having the leaves despawning automatically when there is no tree trunk close to them,

Mix the behavior of the vanilla minecraft leaves for despawning (random chance, increasing with time) with the behavior of TFC cobblestone / dirt gravity.

I mean like cobblestone will stay up in the air if there's a support beam close to it, the tree leaves would stay up in the air when there is a tree trunk 2-3 blocks away, but when the tree is chopped and the trunk is gone, the leaves fall down to the ground, and start a timer for despawning. Or some may fall while some other despawn instantly to minimize the number of falling blocks when a tree is chopped to go easy on framerate

This would give an opportunity to harvest the leaves of very tall trees, and add some realism!

whoa, i remeber this being suggested way back on april, when the mod was just starting out(or at least i was XD )

Loved the idea the first time, i will love it the second time too, i like it!

Devil's advocate here, wouldn't this lag HARD when you cut down a Sequoia? Plus, are trees not being completely overhauled as Dunk said?
