      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

I'm Liking The New Wild Crops

11 posts in this topic

I upgraded from b52e to b66 last night and I'm really enjoying the wild crops and seedlings. They add a lot of variety to the landscape and each time I come across a new plant it's a delight.

Just thought I should share that with everyone before I started whining about how laggy b66 is.

It's not laggy for me too. Maybe it's your PC, sir because not every PC can play well TFC.

I recently have been getting a large amount of lag. For me it happened at night while smithing and quickly roaming the landscape.

Those of us experiencing lag have found one of the following works:

1) Don't play in full screen mode

2) Increase the amount of ram for minecraft to 2GB

It exists now, Mister! And congratulations! You should be getting a letter in the mail from the Funky Cool New Word Coalition of the Merriam Webster Dictionary Society any day now. ;)

I was getting basically no lag at all in b52e. I mean, if a lot of chunks were being loaded at the same time then yeah, it might get a bit jerky for a couple of seconds, but it wouldn't interfere with gameplay.

Now, with b66, I get significant lag pretty much all of the time. It seems at its worst when I'm in the mountains for some reason. Even if I let all the chunks finish rendering, it's still slow. If I try to run it pops into the narrowed FOV for a second then immediately pops back out and I'm walking. If I'm down in the plains then performance is close to normal. Very strange.

The problem is doesn't occur in vanilla MC so it's TFC/Forge related.

Did you update forge? Would that have an impact at all? I was having problems with lag with the 66 beta and I updated forge to 6.0.1.355 and it runs fine now.

I'm running Forge 6.0.1.354. I'll give 355 a try and see how that works out.
