      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

I am using this thread to vent...

I have a thousand dollar 12 string electric acoustic, and a $1600 Yamaha MO8 synth keyboard workstation.

I took the 12 string to a well known national music store, to sell it for cash. I rarely use it. Upon inspection, they informed me that the bridge was lifting off the face, the face was bowed out, and the support frame inside was cracking. They then stated it was a factory defect and i shouldbbring it back to the dealer from which i bought it since it was under a year.

To which i stated, "cool! I bought itvfrom you guys!"

And wouldnt you know it, their story totally changed in about 15 seconds! They then stated i would have to take it up with Takamine since it was a factory defect... even tho this store sold it to me.

And my MO8 which works fantastically, has an end cover snapped which has been cemented on. I bought it like that as it was a floor model. So i asked how much they would give me for it. To which they replied "We cant sell something like that to our customers."

To which i replied, "Really? Because you sold it to me!"

And it was at that point that I realized the cops might soon be called as i snapped and lost my collective self. I dont get angry often. I was seething.

For those of you looking to get into music,(Kimbblesrath) always do your homework regardless of how trustworthy an establishment is or may seem. Remember you are driving a new car off the parking lot as far as value degredation goes. So choose wisely, young Padawan. The internet is a very valuable tool as to what to look for when buying.

And dont do drugs... and eat your vegetables and drink your Ovaltine!

Reminds me of aman here in town who owns property with a strip mall. The town forced him to put in sidewalks or they were going to shut him down.

Funny how NY state owns everything 10 feet in from the road, regardless of whether it is your property or not, unless it comes time to pay for something...

But anyway, he put a 3' wide sidewalk in the entire length of the stripmall... mind you the mall set probably 100' back from the road, on the other side of a parkinglot, and already had its own sidewalk in front of the stores.

Town hall then told him it had to be 4' wide and if he didnt do it they would fine him for every week there was no 4' wide sidewalk.and they would shut him down.

So he went to town hall late in the night with his tractor and sprayed the entire building with cow shit.

Lol. He paid for it, of course, but how good it must have felt!
