      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

before i make a large greenhouse. do they work in TFC?

As long as you cycle the crops, yes they do. They won't accelerate the growth in any way, it's just for the looks if you make it.

I always tend to try to look into the aesthetic side of minecraft...

It would be cool if they work. However no, they don't make the crops grow faster, bru the crops can still grow. Use it only for aesthetic purposes. And now probably I will make one :).

I'm honestly not even sure if crops will grow in any sort of house. Don't they require direct sunlight much like forge does?

It has worked for me before : either:

-They do require direct sunlight, but don't count glass as blocking it

-They are like vanilla plants, in that they require a light level around them to be present, not necesarily sunlight.

Forge doesn't require sunlight, it only requires a connection to the sky. And glass is a transparent block that lets light pass.

If it was a *true* underground farm, crops most probably behave in the same way as the forge. But when he comes here, I'll ask him.
