And yeah, here in 'Merica we like to lower a big glass ball full of LEDs slowly down a big pole in Times Square during the last 10 seconds of the year. Now, I don't rightly now why, but dog gonnit we do it! Yee HAW!

Yea... i never really understood the whole Ball Dropping ceremony in NYC. Perhaps it signifies what happens to a man the older he gets? You know... father time's ball drops? But then there would be 2, eh? Unless of course he was in a terrible space-time accident where he lost a ball in a wurmhole or something tragic like that...

I have only to speculate...

Ya know... come to think of it...

I don't think father time needs to smelt, really. He wears robes and has a staff... not like he's a mage or anything, but he definitely doesn't wear armor.

So I am going to stick to my original idea of the whole space-time accident.

That said, it's possible his nad was left in another dimension when he stepped through a rift.

OR!

Like the dude in 'The Fly', when he used the teleport machine, his man-berry was teleportastically grafted to a brundle fly! The same fly which is now THE "buzz" amongst all the ladies in poo-ville. Oooooo! That dastardly fly.
