      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Wait... 2 (small) ingots put together make a large item?

That doesn't make sence when you can have tons of ingots piled into a chest.

x2 ingots should be small enough to put in chests but have a stack limit half that of indavidual ingots or another storage method needs to be implomented.

Maybe you could place them in world like you do log piles. You could take your gold "bars" and pile them in a western town's vault.

It's intentional, so you don't make double ingots 'til you actually need 'em. The log pile-like mechanic you are talking about is confirmed, from what i know, so don't worry 'bout it :3

It's stuff like this that I don't understand - why is it fun gameplay to not be able to store double ingots, but that you CAN store single ingots? Seems like a completely arbitrary design decision that just forces an open-end sandbox game to be played only one way.

Balance tweak, I believe. TerraFirmaCraft is not a simulator (sometimes, I wish it was, though).

I agree that not being able to store x2 ingots in a chest is stupid. Consider when your making your anvil or armor or whatever and half way through you realize you didnt quite get enough metal from the bloomery... Now assuming you dont have any on hand, you have to lug around 6 double ingots in your inventory while mining to get enough to finish. Then when you smelt them up you have to juggle space for you double ingots, all the unshapped, the molds, ores, and charcoal... all because you cant put 2 ingots welded together in a chest? All the while still being able to stack the single unworked ingots.... Logic fail
